E-Newsletter For Thursday, January 30

Dear Friends,

January 30, 2025

10001 Coldwater Road Fort Wayne, IN 46825

I am so excited to announce that I have officially begun my cohort as a part of the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program! This Lilly-endowed program exists to affirm the high calling of Indiana pastors and to expand pastoral imagination.

Over the course of two years, I will be meeting with fellow clergy from across the state of Indiana and from a wide range of denominations and backgrounds as well as a wide range of civic leaders in the city of Fort Wayne, in order to learn and put into practice ways to help our community flourish. The WPLP only accepts 15 clergy every two years, so I am honored to have been selected to participate in this prestigious program. This does mean I will be out of the office for a few days every other month while at the Wabash College campus and for a longer study tour both this October and next, but I am so excited for all this program offers!

One of our program administrators will be here in August to share more with our congregation about what the program means, but in the meantime, if you're ever interested in hearing more about this amazing opportunity, I'd love to share more with you! And for more information, check out: pastor.wabash.edu/

In Christ, Pastor Allison Yankey

NORTH CAROLINA DISASTER RELIEF MISSION TRIP

Our Tapestry Collective is putting together a mission trip to North Carolina in June, and all ages are invited! Here is some basic information:

This year, we are going to Asheville, North Carolina, for another disaster relief mission trip. In 2024, Hurricane Helene ripped through Florida, made her way north, and badly hit North Carolina and several other states. We will accept the call that we are called to do and serve! This trip will be June 14-21. We will be driving to North Carolina and serving there all week. Information is limited at the moment. This trip is expected to cost around $1,000, but we’re aiming to stay under that once the final numbers are in!

We will be serving with Praying Pelican Missions (PPM). We have worked with them in the past, and they were great. We are hoping for another great year!

If anyone is interested, they can sign up for more information at tinyurl.com/2025TapestryMissionTrip. Questions? Contact Pastor Allison at pastorallison@covenantumc.net.
