consolidating the Axis and CLC recruitment systems to make things smoother for everyone involved.

Goals for the business? My main goals are to increase direct hiring, reduce agency dependency and cost, and improve quality of hire, hiring right first time helps reduce turnover and build stability across the business.

What do you need from the business/us to achieve these goals? The support so far has been excellent, so more of the same! Collaboration, idea-sharing, and referrals are key. Don’t forget, there’s now a £2,000 referral bonus for successful hires, please get in

touch if you’d like details.

Any challenges you are experiencing or can predict that you would like to share?

Like most businesses in our sector, we’re navigating a few challenges in recruitment right now, competition for skilled trades and technical talent is intense, and there’s a real scarcity of experienced supervisors and specialists across the housing and property services market. We’re also operating in a market where candidate expectations have shifted, people are looking for flexibility, career growth, and a sense of purpose and belonging, not just pay. That means we need to sharpen our employer brand, speed up our hiring processes, and engage talent early, especially as we continue to grow.

Finally…. Any hobbies, clubs, beliefs, activities you would like to share? I’m a keen mountain biker and bike-packer and generally love the outdoors, and I enjoy watching rugby and following Arsenal F.C. whenever I can.

Anything else you would like to add? I’m climbing Ben Nevis with my daughter, Alannah (17), to support The Forward Trust, a charity helping people break the cycles of addiction and crime so they can rebuild their lives. For 25+ years, Forward has supported thousands to make lasting, positive change through recovery, employment, family and community.
