Dear Team,
I am thrilled to share the incredible success of the Second Street clinic ribbon cutting ceremony. It was an extraordinary celebration of community and partnership!
We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from our local leadership. We were honored to have the Mayors from all three cities we serve - Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin - join us for this momentous occasion. Each spoke passionately about the critical importance of this new clinic opening and its transformative impact on healthcare access for our entire Tri-Valley community.

A special highlight of the ceremony was when Livermore Mayor John Marchand presented Axis with a city proclamation recognizing Axis Community Health's commitment to providing quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare services. This proclamation emphasizes the city's partnership in our mission to promote the well-being of all community members.
Since 1972, Axis Community Health has been dedicated to serving those who need us most, and this new downtown Livermore location represents our continued growth and commitment to meeting our community where they are.
As I stood before our community partners and reflected on this achievement, I was moved to share these words: "This building is more than bricks and mortar. It is a promise. A promise that when someone needs help, we will be here. A promise that healthcare will be delivered with dignity, compassion, and excellence. And it's also a symbol of what happens when cities, donors, staff, and neighbors come together to say, 'We will not accept barriers to care. We will make a way. '"
Thank you to every team member who has worked tirelessly to make this expansion possible. Your dedication to our mission of providing compassionate, quality healthcare services is what makes moments like these possible.
As we celebrate this milestone, let's remember that each ribbon we cut, each door we open, represents hope and healing for the families we serve Together, we ' re opening new pathways to health and wellness for our entire community.

Axis Health celebrated 12 new team members at its New Hire Luncheon on July 29, 2025. The gathering provided an opportunity for new employees to connect and share their motivations for pursing a career in healthcare.
Getting to Know Our New Team
The new hires shared diverse hobbies and interests. Many emphasized family time, including spending time with young children, babysitting nephews in nature, and cherishing moments with siblings and nieces. Others enjoy cooking, bowling, gardening and hiking, and wine tasting with friends.
Why Healthcare?
When asked about choosing healthcare, the group shared meaningful reasons aligned with Axis's mission Common themes included wanting to "give back and help the community" and "provide the patient care that our parents never got "
Several highlighted healthcare's potential for personal growth alongside helping others. Family inspiration played a key role for many, while others were motivated by personal experiences with relatives' health challenges. One new hire emphasized the importance of being a role model as " an older sibling and first generation child," while another found joy in "doing the little things, such as translate for patients" to help them feel heard and understood.

Earlier this month, the Axis Culture Team (ACT) met for the first time! The committee is made up of a diverse group of employees from across different departments, all dedicated to shaping, enhancing, and sustaining a positive organizational culture at Axis. Stay tuned for more information!
