mindset, topsy-turvy priorities, and questionable cultural values inspire Jay Leno, former host of “The Tonight Show,” to joke: “A new candidate for California governor is running on a platform of taxing breast implants, which of course are California’s largest natural resources.” In actual truth, California spends more money on breast augmentation than any other state, with San Diego County among the top three in
California. With Americans spending more than $16.5 billion on breast implants just last year (2018), Jay Leno’s comical notion of taxing such a procedure could, in reality, create a substantial “war chest” (pun intended) in revenue.
