1. Unpack the shade box. Open packaging by hands. Take out the roller shade and hardware. Do not remove tape on the roller shade.

2. Measure the shade (from plastic ends) to ensure the correct length for the installation. Measure width of Oasis cover and place the shade accordingly to short or long side. The roller shade will be approximately 2 in. (50 mm) shorter than the side where it will be installed.

3. To install the supplied brackets on each side of the cover, use the supplied - #8 x ¾” round head selftapping screws in pre-marked notches. (Figure 1) 4. Fasten the brackets on each top corner (Figure 2). On the left side of the cover install the bracket with the rectangular hole and, on the right side, the bracket with the square hole. Screw in the brackets and place the #8 x ¾” round head self-tapping screws in the middle of the slots.

5. Insert the roller shade into the two brackets as shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4. Note the square and rectangular openings on the brackets. You can bend the brackets to help you insert the roller shade.

6. If the roller shade is not snug between the two brackets remove and reposition slightly.

7. The roller shade must now be wound to create tension in the mechanism. Push the bottom loop of the fabric between the cylinder and the roof, turning over 4 times only. This ensures an adequate tension of the roller shade assembly. (Figure 5) 8. Holding the roller shade in place, remove the tape from it.

9. While holding firmly the roller shade insert the retaining rod in the fabric loop. The rubber tips must protrude on both sides. (Figure 6).

10. Gently release the roller shade gently; it will be retained at the top by the cover’s underside.

Retaining Bracket Installation Oasis and Evolution 1. Standard wire mesh and screen mounts should be located 30 in.

(762 mm) from the base of the foot plate to the top of the retaining bracket. Place both the retaining brackets with the measuring tape and mark their position with a pencil. (Figure 11) WARNING Ensure retaining bracket is centred properly when marking position of retaining brackets.

2. Place masking tape around the retaining brackets location. This will help with the primer application. (Figure 12) 3. Use the supplied alcohol pad to clean the area where the retaining brackets will be installed on the posts to ensure they are free of grease and dust. (Figure 12) Wait 2 minutes for alcohol to dry.

CAUTION Remain within markings when cleaning area with alcohol, otherwise, the tape might peel off.

4. Snap the primer bottle in the middle for liquid to come out from the extremity. (Figure 13) Apply it to the location of the brackets determined by the masking tape. (Figure 12)

WARNING: • The primer bottle (3M Primer 94) is flammable, a severe eye irritant, a skin sensitizer, a risk of inhalation, toxic to reproduction, carcinogenic and toxic to internal organs. Be careful when handling the primer. Ensure adequate ventilation before and during use.

• Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking while using this product.

• After use, be sure to wash the parts of the body that have been exposed to the product.

• Important: Failure to apply the primer will result in the two retaining brackets falling off over a short period of time, the primer will act as the optimal bonding agent.

6. Glue one of the two retaining brackets to the specified locations (remove paper backing of bracket for the adhesive). Apply pressure for at least 60 seconds. Remove masking tape when finished. (Figure 15) WARNING Failure to apply enough pressure on retaining bracket will result in bracket unsticking over short period of time 7. Wait for 5 minutes before the next step.

8. Lower the canvas and hook the retaining rod to the first glued retaining bracket. (Figure 16) 9. Hook the second non-glued retaining bracket to the retaining rod. (Figure 17) CAUTION Do not remove the peel off from the tape until the bracket is in place.

10. Gently pull the unglued edge down to eliminate creases from the fabric. Use the rod to determine the placement height of the last support without removing the adhesive tape. (Figure 19) CAUTION To avoid damaging the roller shade assembly, the tension must be even from one side to the other.

11. With help from another person, mark the location of the second bracket on the post (ideal place to eliminate wrinkles). (Figure 18) 12. Limit the contact zone with masking tape 13. Clean the surface with an alcohol pad and let it dry for 2 minutes

14. Apply the provided primer to the mark zone and let it dry for 5 minutes.

15. Remove the adhesive tape protector and stick the last retaining bracket to the post, make sure to apply pressure to the bracket for at least 60 seconds. (Figure 20) WARNING Failure to apply enough pressure on retaining bracket will result in bracket unsticking over short period of time.

16. Remove masking tape.

Raising the roof When there’s no power 60

G2 / G3 Legs The G3 post is the latest version of post found on COVANA units such as the OASIS, EVOLUTION, LEGEND and HORIZON models.

The G3 is in effect since March 2019, we can track units by serial to confirm if the unit has been built with a G3 post.

Improvements:

•

Red chain guide: Serves as a guide so the sleeves do not grab onto the jack thus keeping it from over forcing

•

The jack lock: The jack lock is now located on top of the jack making it more accessible.

•

The sprockets: Sprockets are now supported by bearings rather than bushings. This enhances the life span of the jack.

•

The chain tensioner: A chain tensioner is now easily accessible. Permitting to easily adjust the tension of the main chain.

•

Metal cable/wire: The metal wire found in the previous versions of jacks has been replaced by a chain identical to the drive chain.

•

G2 POST JACK LOCK REMOVAL (OLD VERSION) Once all the drive shafts have been installed, the jack lock brackets located at the bottom of the non-motor-side jacks can safely be removed. Remove the Phillips M4 x 8 mm screws. With the jack lock removed, screw back in only the M4 x 8 mm screw. Keep the lock bracket and the hardware for future use. (Figure 52). You can now remove the red paper tags that are attached to the jacks.

Warning: Failure to remove this part will break the lifting Mechanism
