We have some great forest-based activities designed to encourage everybody out into the forest for some healthy gentle exercise and learning about nature but most of all fun!
Nature Rangers Get in touch with nature in this fantastic outdoors activity! With magnifiers and wildlife checklists in tow, you will be taken on a walk around the park where you will take part in things like bug watching, tree rubbing, masking tape leaf bracelets, or even create your own journey stick. Forest Caching around the Sandy Balls forest Using your smartphone and a free app navigate your way to GPS locations. Find the hidden codes at each location to bring you back to base and claim your and prize.
(Starts at the Forest Hub) Woodland Survival Learn the basics of how to survive in dense woodland with limited materials, discover how to build a shelter to keep you warm and dry then learn how, with a basic survival tool, you can create one of the most essential lifesaving things - a fire. All participants must book a space on the session, children need to be accompanied by an adult.
