Things to consider

Budget

Unless you’ve just won the lottery, it’s best to find a caravan or lodge that suits your budget. Our team will guide you through the options. Availability changes daily, so when you visit, chances are you’ll have even more homes to peruse. And if you HAVE just won the lottery, please contact our sales team immediately.

Finance*

Once you’ve fallen in love with Appletree and a holiday home, it’s time to talk payment. Some customers have savings, others use a bank loan. We’re also a licensed Credit Brokers and, subject to your personal circumstances, we can put you in touch with specialist lenders in this field.

Subletting

Want your holiday home to help pay for itself? Our managed letting scheme lets you sublet to holidaymakers. We’ll explain how it works and what you could earn.

We’ll handle the hard work, from bookings to upkeep, so you can relax knowing your holiday home is cared for. During your visit, we’ll show you how it works and what kind of income you can expect.

Owners Privileges

Holiday home ownership comes with plenty of perks. You’ll get invitations to complimentary owners brunches, evening soirees and more. Yes, soirees. You’ll be that fancy.

Annual Running Costs

Like any home (or car, boat or helicopter) there are ongoing running costs. We’ll help you factor those into your budget.

There is an annual pitch fee paid by all holiday homeowners which covers:

• Exclusive Owners parties and events throughout the season

• Use of the park for 12 months of the year (your holiday home cannot be used as a main residence!)

We also carry out other duties that are covered by the pitch fee, including:

• Park landscaping and gardening services

• Refuse disposal

• Road and drainage maintenance

• Park street lighting

• Park security systems

FYI: Some of our holiday homeowners offset this cost by using our hassle-free Management Letting Scheme. Please ask for more details.

* Appletree Holiday Park is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 949632). We act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction of customers to a limited number of finance providers. We do not charge a fee for this service, but we may receive commission from the finance providers we introduce customers to. Finance is subject to status and income. Applicants must be 18 or over. Pitch fee and loyalty discount*

Standard caravan pitch fees from £4,337

Standard lodge pitch fees from £6,337

Pitch fees are charged on a pro-rata basis from the date of purchase and then annually. You are welcome to choose to pay via our monthly direct debit scheme.

*Additional annual pitch fee of £1,000 will be applied to all owners who don’t purchase directly from Away Resorts Ltd.

The following charges are also made to all holiday homeowners and are reviewed annually.

Annual Rates

Includes local authority rates and water charges. These annual rates run from 1st April to 31st March charged on a pro-rata basis from the date of purchase and then annually. £363 per year

Gas

Gas is charged as used for all holiday homes.

Other costs

These include winterisation and insurance.

Electricity

Electricity is charged as used for all holiday homes.

What happens when you visit?

1 Arrive and enjoy a much-needed tea or coffee (and possibly biscuits).

2 We ask you a few-hundred questions* to understand what you’re looking for. (possibly not that many)

3 Have “the money chat” about costs and options.

4 Based on our chat, you tour the park, check out the facilities and have a look inside some of the holiday homes that meet your needs.

5 You select The One, find the perfect pitch, then congratulations you’re a homeowner.

6 You feel smug.

If you decide holiday home ownership isn’t quite your thing, no problem – just let us know. It’s your time, after all, and at the very least, you’ll have enjoyed a lovely day out exploring what could have been your new happy place.

FAQs

How quickly can I move in after purchase?

We get it, once you’ve found The One, you’ll want to move in asap. If your holiday home is already on park and you’ve paid in full, you’ll usually be in within 14 days (often sooner). If your home is coming direct from the manufacturer, we’ll prep it as soon as it arrives and keep you updated every step of the way. Either way, the perfect upgrade to your downtime won’t be far away!

How long is the park open?

All year round. This holiday resort doesn’t take holidays.

Will my holiday home be covered by warranty?

Yes. Whether it’s brand new, ex-demo, or pre-loved, you’ll enjoy peace of mind with our exclusive 3-year warranty package*. At Away Resorts, age really doesn’t matter, we’ve got you covered.

How long will the park tour take?

As long (or as short) as you like. We’ll happily show you everything, but it’s your day. Feel free to bring your family along if you’d like to turn your tour into a mini adventure!
