North Wales

Perched between a mountain range and the sea at the mouth of the Mawddach estuary, Barmouth Bay is drop dead gorgeous. It’s on the edge of the vast Snowdonia National Park, 823 square miles of peaks, trails and jaw-dropping views. The town itself has a rich history, from shipping to slate, and the old harbour is well worth a wander. Throw in some legendary fish and chips and, cod knows, it’ll be a day you won’t forget.

Budget

Unless you’ve just won the lottery, it’s best to find a caravan or lodge that suits your budget. Our team will guide you through the options. And if you HAVE just won the lottery, please contact our sales team immediately. Scan the QR code below if you’d like to have a peek at which holiday homes are currently available before you come visit (but please note: availability changes daily, so when you visit, chances are you’ll have even more homes to peruse.).

Finance*

Once you’ve fallen in love with Barmouth Bay and a holiday home, it’s time to talk payment. Some customers have savings, others use a bank loan. We’re also a licensed Credit Brokers and, subject to your personal circumstances, we can put you in touch with specialist lenders in this field.

Subletting

Want your holiday home to help pay for itself? Our managed letting scheme lets you sublet to holidaymakers. We’ll explain how it works and what you could earn. We’ll handle the hard work, from bookings to upkeep, so you can relax knowing your holiday home is cared for. During your visit, we’ll show you how it works and what kind of income you can expect.

Owners Privileges

Holiday home ownership comes with plenty of perks. You’ll get full use of the park facilities, invitations to complimentary owners brunches, evening soirees and more. Yes, soirees. You’ll be that fancy.

Annual Running Costs

Like any home (or car, boat or helicopter) there are ongoing running costs. We’ll help you factor those into your budget.

There is an annual pitch fee paid by all holiday homeowners which covers:

• Exclusive Owners events throughout the season

• Use of the park for 10 out of 12 months of the year

We also carry out other duties that are covered by the pitch fee, including…

• Park landscaping and gardening services

• Refuse disposal

• Road and drainage maintenance

• Park street lighting

• Park security systems

Pitch fees are charged on a pro-rata basis from the date of purchase and then annually. You are welcome to choose to pay via our monthly direct debit scheme and conveniently spread payment over 10 months.

*The loyalty discount is available exclusively to owners who purchase directly from Away Resorts.

The following charges are also made to all holiday homeowners and are reviewed annually.

Annual Rates

Includes local authority rates and water charges. These annual rates run from st April to 31st March charged on a pro-rata basis from the date of purchase and then annually.

Electricity

Electricity is charged as used for all holiday homes.

Gas

Gas is charged as used for all holiday homes.

Other costs

These include winterisation and insurance.

Come and take a look

You can’t buy a holiday home from a brochure. You need to come have a nosey, get a feel for the park, soak up the atmosphere and meet the neighbours.

What happens when you visit? 1 Arrive and enjoy a much-needed tea or coffee (and possibly biscuits). 2 We ask you lots of questions to understand what you’re looking for. If we’re asking too many questions, start yawning and we’ll stop. 3 Have “the money chat” about costs and options. 4 Tour the park, check out the facilities and have a nosey inside some of the holiday homes. 5 “Money chat part 2” finalising your budget. 6 We show you the best options for you. 7 You choose The One, find the perfect pitch, congratulations you’re a homeowner. 8 You feel smug.

FAQs

How quickly can I move in after purchase?

We get it, once you’ve found your holiday home, you’ll want to move in asap. If yours is already on park and you’ve paid in full, you’ll usually be in within 14 days (often sooner). If your home is coming direct from the manufacturer, we’ll prep it as soon as it arrives and keep you updated every step of the way. Either way, the perfect upgrade to your downtime won’t be far away!

How long is the park open?

Our lovely park is open 1st of March to 10th of January.

Will my holiday home be covered by warranty?

Yes. Whether it’s brand new, ex-demo, or pre-loved, you’ll enjoy peace of mind with our exclusive 3-year warranty package*. At Away Resorts, age really doesn’t matter, we’ve got you covered.

How long will the park tour take?

As long (or as short) as you like. We’ll happily show you everything, but it’s your day. Feel free to bring your family along if you’d like to turn your tour into a mini adventure!

How

If you are coming to us from down South we would jump on to either the M1 or M5 depending on which part of the South you are travelling to us from. If you are coming from up North then we would again, use the M1 or the M6. Follow signs towards Wales/Telford/Wolverhampton/Shrewsbury/A5 and head West towards Snowdonia National Park.
