PARISIAN PAIRING

"Today is my last day in Paris (for now). While here for my first time in 'The City of Light’, I've decided that if Paris came in the form of wine, it would be a bottle of Pinot Noir.
The elegance & romance of the city are embodied in the feminine aromatics & forward flavor that Pinot possesses.”
- Allie Merrick

CANNES COUTURE

“When it comes to both wine & wardrobe, I seek out examples with signature style. I search for wine that autographs your palate with an authentic expression. I then match what I sip with what I slip into. As it is with food, fashion pairs well with wine.”
- Allie MerrickSKYLITE CELLARS 2012 Syrah

THE RED CARPET

“We met on the red carpet. Gian (a mens lifestyle blogger from Australia), Krystin (a style blogger from D.C.) and me (a wine & what follows blogger from the Michigan) all met for the first time at a fashion show in Cannes. From the moment we introduced ourselves to one another, we spent nearly every waking moment together for five days covering Cannes and the fashion we captured both on and off of the red carpet.”
- Allie Merrick

Be Loud Be You
www.beloudbeyou.com

Personal style blogger, Krystin Hargrove, is the creator of Be Loud Be You. Full-time Accountant and mom; BLBY was birthed initially as a hobby, and since then has become much more.
With a focus on individuality and the economically conscious, Be Loud Be You promotes style by YOUR definition.
“Sultry, but sassy, Krystin in the form of wine would be a young Oregon Pinot Noir. While she will only get better with age, she’s already rockin in epic style.” -AM

www.waywardson.com.au

Gian Reyes runs Wayward Son, a men's lifestyle blog based in Sydney Australia, his main focus is attainable luxury. The blog covers men's fashion, grooming and all other manly pursuits.
He's here to chew gum and guide men to get the most bang for their buck, and he never has bubble gum. He's also terrible at movie quotes.
“As a wine, Gian would be a magnificent Malbec with masculine notes of class & confidence, easily approachable & enjoyable.” -AM

ESCARGOT

It was the escargot at Le Marais that won our hearts and made it our favorite place to dine in Cannes. Paired with a bottle of Minuty from Cote de Provence, the snails were spectacular along with every other course . www.restaurantlemarais.fr

CREME BRULEE
While not one of us is a creme brûlée aficionado, all three of us very much enjoy this dessert, particularly when served from Petit Paris. Here we had the BEST Creme Brûlée that Cannes has to offer, Their tiramisu (to the left) was also phenomenal.

“So, what will I miss most about France? Will it be Paris or Cannes? While both places were incredible, it was the people in both I fell in love with. And so it is that I will miss saying ‘bonjour’ in the morning & ‘bonsoir’ in the evening, and the many moments filled with speaking & sipping in between. “
