Welcome to Servant Leadership magazine, a Christian University of Southern Indiana publication. This February 2020 issue is dedicated to our event, the Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet with the theme, “It’s All About Your Service”. The purpose for this event is to honor deserving individuals who have made a life-changing difference in the lives of others in their community. They have truly demonstrated honoring Jesus’s command that we must “love thy neighbor”. Their selfless acts and kindness to others have caused many to know that they truly are loved. With this honor, we confer Honorary Doctorate degrees of Humane Letters to outstanding men and women who have given, sacrificed, and who have made a large impact to those around them. Dear Heavenly Father, Your word in Romans 10:9 says, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” So Father, I come, humbled before you with a sincere heart, confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart that you have died for my sins and was raised from the dead. Father, I receive your most precious gift to me today, right now, even though I am so unworthy. And now I know that I am saved. Lord, I thank you for your love and for your mercy. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’s name, I pray this prayer. Amen.

Dear Servant Leadership Reader! I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Welcome to the Christian University of Southern Indiana’s publication, SERVANT LEADERSHIP. We are so excited for this issue of our school’s e-magazine. We want you to know that CUSI is a Bible-based, Bible-believing, Christian university. We believe that our students must be prepared, anointed, and skilled in the things of God in order to help build up God's kingdom. In doing so, it is important that Christian leadership is equivalent to service. Thus we encourage you to learn how to become empowered through influence by serving others. Therefore, we understand, how important it is to learn with the mindset of preparing to serve others through education and through the life application principles that we teach. We foster an environment of learning where our students will increase their theological knowledge on the biblical foundation we provide of education, integration, and application. The result of our students' increased understanding and ability to apply the Word of God will reflect in their homes, jobs, community, church, and within themselves. This experience will allow our students to improve in every aspect of their lives. No matter how God anoints and appoints, matriculation with us equips our students as they strive for excellence within their functioning as a member of the Body of Christ. Here, the foundation that they receive will help their education to impact lifestyle. With adult students being our focus, we are confident that growth will be accelerated through our Degree Programs, Certificate Programs, Instructional Options, and Credentialing opportunities. Additionally, as we function under the umbrella of the Christian Educational Services of Higher Learning university system, we work with other Christian colleges, institutes, seminaries, and universities through our Reciprocal Partnership Program. With partnerships, such as the one we have with both our sister school, New Directions Theological Institute, and the use of Logos Bible Software as one of our resources for curriculum, we are confident in what we have as a leading institution in preparing ministry professionals. We hope that you will find the information in this magazine that will help you as you consider us as your resource for your spiritual, academic, and professional development. Dear Student and Member of the Body of Christ! We greet you in the powerful, Almighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! On behalf of the Board of Regents, faculty, and staff, we welcome you to subscribe to the Christian University of Southern Indiana’s publication, SERVANT LEADERSHIP Magazine as we encourage Christian leaders to “learn empowerment by influence”. That simply means that we understand the power of influence through service. We believe that the most effective leaders in Christendom serve others. We base this on the example of Jesus and His ministry of healing, preaching, teaching, and serving. On the night before He was taken, He served the Twelve Disciples the Last Supper (Luke 22:1-20). He washed their feet and told them to do the same for others(John 13:1-15). He ultimately served by giving His life as the perfect sacrifice so that we all have an opportunity to have eternal life, to never perish, and to sit at His feet with His Father, in the Kingdom (John 3:16) . We are so excited for this issue of our school’s e-magazine. We want you to know that CUSI is a Bible-based, Bible-believing, Christian university. As preachers and teachers of the Gospel, it is our task to encourage others to go into consecration, preparing themselves to serve others, influence communities, and to walk in the power of Almighty God. In doing so, CUSI students must prepare, be anointed, and show skills and knowledge as it pertains to the things of God as they grow in ministry. This is why we share in the responsibility of fostering a student body a faculty, and a publication that is rooted and grounded in academia, preparing our students and readers, alike, to serve others. For those considering enrollment in our school, this is a basic tenet of our curricula and one that encourages a pedagogical, Christian curricula that will manifest in their communication, provide tools for integration, and for useful application. The result of our students' increased understanding and ability to apply the Word of God will reflect in their homes, jobs, community, church, and within themselves. Christian University of Southern Indiana is a member of the Christian Educational Services of Higher Learning (CESHL) university system, an accredited school system. Christian Educational Services of Higher Learning school system is accredited by the Association of Fundamental Institutions for Religious Education, Inc. It was established as a network of Christian colleges, universities, and seminaries to work together to build up leaders of the Christian faith through education, development, ordination, certification, credentialing, and overall edification of God's people.
Our purpose is to prepare clergy and other congregational leaders inside and outside of the church for professional ministry service! Our students' learning environment can be experienced in a digital, virtual, and personal environment, which is delivered through our Distance Learning format or our Traditional Classroom setting. Mission The mission of CUSI is five-fold in nature. We strive to be on the forefront of providing quality and affordable programs of Biblical/Theological education and training while maintaining scriptural integrity and commitment to the empowerment in the equipping of Five-Fold ministers. Although the term "seminary" may imply graduate training for higher institutional learning, it is a term that has been established for the sole purpose of issuing credentials to men and women as certified, licensed, and ordained professional ministers. Christian University of Southern Indiana is a subordinate ministry/auxiliary of the I Trinity Cornerstone Christian Fellowship of Christian Churches & Ministries, International, which is filed with the IRS as an exempt church/educational ministry. With this status, we have the authority to train, license, ordain, and commission churches through the TCCF Fellowship.
-To Provide programs of Biblical/Theological studies that stimulate, nurture, and empower our students. -To maintain the truth and integrity of the principles of faith and discipline initially provided to the Church by way of the Apostles. -To provide programs of educational content that ignite, empower, and advance the Kingdom of God through the Five-Fold Ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. -To provide our students with a means of acquiring the specific training and education needed to effectively minister to the people of God. -To provide a spiritual atmosphere of Christian learning that is accessible to students in spite of geographical location.
Our emphasis is not to achieve secular accreditation and it is important to denote that our conferred degrees are issued only for ministry purposes. Our mission is to equip the minister with practical educaton for his/her ministry. We continue in this practical path as the means of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Orientation At the start of each session, new and transfer students are led in a period of orientation. Orientation is purposed to make the transition into CUSI's academic culture one with ease by acquainting students with the mission, people, systems, and setting of Christian University of Southern Indiana. Lectures All lectures, unless otherwise specified in the current course catalogue, are provided online via video and/or audio lectures. All students, faculty, and staff are required to utilized the Virtual Classroom for completion of assignments, quizzes, exams, and lectures. 11

Dr. Linda Parker Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet Mistress of Ceremonies, Honorary Alumni Association Member and 2015 recipient of the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Christian University of Southern Indiana
Christian University of Southern Indiana’s Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet was so honored to have Lady Dr. Linda Parker to serve as the Mistress of Ceremony at the event held, Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Stockton, CA. She is the wife of the late Bishop Dr. Lee V. Parker of Wells of Living Waters Ministries in Stockton, CA. She is an educator that serves in the Stockton Unified School District, a tutor for the S.T.A.N.D. mentoring program, a grandmother, great-grandmother, mentor, and friend. She is an anointed speaker, presenter, character monologist, worship leader, and blessed woman of God. Many in the Stockton and San Joaquin community and surrounding areas know her for the work she did over the years with the Tender Loving Care Women’s Ministry and their outreach to the community with their Annual Women’s Tea. They have been a blessing to many women who have needed encouragement, a helping hand, and support that only another woman can give.
Dr. Parker, alongside her husband in 2015, she was awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters while her husband received the Honorary Doctorate of Divinity, both conferred from Christian University of Southern Indiana. She has dedicated her life to her late husband, her children, grand-children, great greatgrandchildren, and host of family members. Moreover, she has committed devotion to a life lived for the sake of the cross of Jesus Christ. She truly loves God and is an advocate for all who work towards building up God’s Kingdom. Being in church all of her life, she loves to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into courts with praise. We thank God for the contributions she has made and continues to make to her community and to Christendom. We are so blessed and privileged to honor her with the 2020 Servant Leadership Award for all her achievements and the achievements she helps to make possible for others, especially for children and young people.

Shane LeMar Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet Speaker & recipient of the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters & Icons, The American Revolution: A Tall Tale by Shane LeMar, “Road to War”, and “The Two Georges”. Hailing from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, C. A. Shane LeMar is an entertainer and serves as the President of Shane LeMar Entertainment, LLC. He serves as a musician, actor, lecturer, board member, and voting member of the Grammy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Award. A successful entrepreneur with thirtyeight years of experience in entertainment marketing, business administration, and operational logistics, Dr. LeMar has made significant contributions to his community through service. As president of his own entertainment company since 1987, he has worked “behind the scenes” as an event planner, food & beverage caterer, and even as an AV engineer. As an entertainer, he has performed with The Ink Spots Generations, The Eddie Cornelius Show, and the Shambala Band. As a lecturer, Mr. LeMar works with the Nova Southeastern University Life-Long Learning Institute, the Florida International University Life-Long Institute, and other student bodies discussing 20th Century Popular Music, 20th Century Pop Culture
Now, Dr. LeMar, serves on the Board of Directors for the City of Lauderdale by the Sea Chamber of Commerce, holding the office of Vice-Chairmen of Membership, he is a Trustee Member of the City of Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, a Board of Directors member of the City of Oakland Park & Wilton Manors Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Directors City of Tamarac Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Board of Directors for the City of Sunrise Florida Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, he has served his business community since 2001, helping to support local businesses throughout his career. Dr. LeMar holds an Associate degree in Science from Palm Beach State College, a bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership from Christian University of Southern Indiana, and he is currently working on his MA in Christian Business & Entrepreneurship, also at CUSI. He serves on many boards and is affiliated with various associations in his local community as well as his professional industry. We congratulate Dr. LeMar for receiving the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.

Hazel Brandilynn Valera currently holds the position as the Director of Men's Programs with Building Peaceful Families. Her responsibilities include the implementation and planning of the annual Top Dad's Awards Brunch, a county-wide event that recognizes and honors fathers and father figures who have demonstrated dedication and sacrifice for their families and communities. As a passionate advocate for helping challenged families, Hazel also holds a position as the Executive Program Director for the Northern California Fatherhood Collaborative (CFC) and Eli Aid in Affordable Housing - both entities comprising of more than 42 nonprofit agencies and service providers that assist and support the stability of fathers and their families. Hazel's expertise is in the complex world of credentials and finance, particularly, consumer records and real estate loans. Her expertise in databases and credentials allows her to assist in under-
standing many complex systems. Some of those systems include public records, background screening, criminal records, banking, and finance. Professionally, Hazel is the CFO of Veritas Prime Co, Inc, a business development firm that structures acquisitions, partnerships, and real estate financing for small businesses and investors, nationwide. The heart of most of the transactions her team structures includes a revenue share that goes to supporting a cause or entity that assists an underserved community. In 2014, Hazel received the Presidents Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama. This is one of the highest honors awarded in the Points of Light Program. It recognizes individuals who have volunteered over 4000 hours of documented community service in a lifetime. Dr. Richard Johnson Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet Speaker Dr. Richard Johnson, creator and developer of the Kick Butts Program (KBP), LLC, completed his PhD degree at Christian University of Southern Indiana (CUSI). He received his M.Ed from Pennsylvania State University, his B.S in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, and an Associate of Science degree from Grand Rapids Junior College. Being very passionate and compassionate for helping people “kick the habit”, he has over 25 years experience working with smoking cessation, the addicted, and dedicated research specific to nicotine habits. While attending CUSI and part of meeting the PhD degree requirements, Dr. Johnson developed the Kick Butts Program, providing a supportive and systematic program to help smokers become non-smokers again. KBP is recognized by the Christian Educational Services of Higher Learning university system and Christian University of Southern Indiana as a viable, certificate program for those who desire to become non-smokers. He is the author of the newly released book, What Parents Should (Must, Need, Have to) Know About Vaping and E-Cigarettes, a great resource that speaks to the juvenile epidemic of vaping and e-cigarettes, the affects, and the many ways kids sneak their vaping activities in plain sight, he is also launching the STOP VAPING INITIATIVE. The goal is to start this conversation in 1 million households. Congratulations to Dr. Johnson for this achievement and his contributive efforts to making more people healthier and wiser.

The Christian University of Southern Indiana Family is honored to be presenting an occasion that recognizes the work of individuals who contribute to the lives of the people in their communities. Presiding Elder Dr. Booker T. Guyton and his lovely wife, Mary Guyton, hail from Stockton, CA and have been in ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church for over five decades. With the support of his wife, children, grandchildren, and host of family, Presiding Elder Guyton currently presides over the Oakland/San Joaquin District of the California Conference within the 5th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Mary Guyton has worked and given her time and contributions to the plights of the church as well through the Women’s Missionary Society and the Young People’s Division of the AME Church. She has been a committed wife, mother, and grandmother having raised 2 daughters in the church and serving as a mentor to numerous women, whether in ministry, serving as pastors’ wives, or just those serving in churches all over the California Conference and beyond.
Together, the Guytons are an inspiration to many pastoral families, supporters of those who lead them in the bishopric, and most of all, spirit-filled, spirit-led members of the Body of Christ for which they have committed their lives. We are so honored to have had them be our very special guests and honorees at the Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet on this past Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Stockton, CA, longtime members of the Stockton community. In her absence, Presiding Elder Guyton received the award for both he and his wife as they were honored with the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. Special Guests & Recipients of the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters
Pastor Bob Hailey hails from Bakersfield California. He received his theology degree from Conroe College in Sacramento and has loved and served his community in the following ways: He is the Founder of Unity Community Christian Baptist Church, along with Reverend Hill, in 1969 and remains the pastor until this day. He not only involves himself in the needs of the members of his church, but also the meeting the need of members of the Stockton community at large. He served as a corporal in the United States Army from 1962-1964. He served as President of the Stockton Branch of the NAACP, as the police chaplain for the Stockton Police Department for ten years and worked as the Executive Director of the Opportunity Industrialization Center, an organization designed to help the underprivileged, school dropouts, and exoffenders. Mr. Hailey worked as the Director of Maintenance for Delta Community College for 10 years. Mrs. Helen Hailey hails from Chicago, Illinois and relocated to Californian 1983. First and foremost, Mrs. Hailey accepted Christ at the early age of 8 years old and has walked with the Lord all of her life. Mrs. Hailey joined Unity Community Christian Baptist Church in 2015 and is actively supporting her husband, Pastor Bob Hailey in his calling as a pastor and the church in its mission to reach the lost.
She received her Masters Degree in School Counseling in 1989 and worked in the Stockton Elementary schools as a School Counselor for five years in Stockton Unified School District. She received her Masters in School Administration in 1991 and worked and served in the Stockton and Lodi Schools as an Administrator for 15 years. Mrs. Hailey has served her community in the following ways: She was the first AfricanAmerican to be hired as a school principal in the Lodi California School System and encouraged diversity awareness in the process. She served as President of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and she is the recipient the “Valuing Diversity Award” from ACSA in 2006. She Founded an organization called “The Stockton Women’s Collaborative” for the purpose of recognizing African-American Women and educating the community on their accomplishments and contributions to our community. There is an annual banquet planned during Black History month to celebrate these women. She is no longer directly involved, but the organization is still active. Finally, she has served as president of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Stockton Branch for 2 years and has been a member for 25 years. The mission of this organization is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, research and philanthropy. We congratulate this awesome couple as they continue to do God’s work and serve their community.
Bishop Lenzo Pittman and his lovely wife, First Lady & Evangelist Earline Pittman have been walking with the Lord, working in ministry, and serving the community for quite a long time. They serve as the pastoral team at Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, located on the south side of Stockton, CA. The Pittmans have 6 children and 9 grandchildren. They are committed to nurturing their family: mind, body, and spirit. Bishop Pittman accepted Christ at an early age, having re-dedicated his life to Christ in 1979, in 1981 he became a deacon at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He is a graduate of E. A. Kemp High School and an alumnus of Prairie View A&M University, an Historically Black College/University (HBCU). He has served in the US Army and the Marines. While serving in the military, he attended Austin Peay State University in Clarkesville, Tennessee. Evangelist worked in corporate America for several years. Now, and for the last couple of decades, has been serving children and families by providing a warm, safe, loving, spirit-filled daycare, witnessing to young parents about the love of Jesus and teaching their children the principles of the Bible and with the love of Jesus Christ. We salute and celebrate the Pittmans as they receive the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
Bill and Chris Lane were married January 25,1975. Throughout their marriage, Chris has been the backbone of everything God led Bill and her to pursue. Through all the professional careers, moves across the country, and the raising of their four children, Chris has been by Bill’s side supporting him in every way. As one of the top consultants in the Nation for high-risk youth and adults, Bill Lane has an extensive background working with the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated adults and juveniles for the past 40 years. For over ten years, Bill was a counselor and motivational speaker for youth throughout the state of California. Bill has an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration, with an emphasis in the transition of the formerly incarcerated. Today, Dr. Lane is the Founder/President and Chairman of the Board of a non-profit organization, Freedom Through Education. He has been consulting to set up more programs like the SCBC throughout California. Under his leadership Freedom Through Education has been able to develop Sober Living Environments, Transitional Housing Programs, Transitional Living Programs and an Out-Patient Clinic that is certified by the Department of Health Care Services as an Intensive Out-Patient Program. As of June 2019, Freedom Through Education has developed and implemented programs for both Men and Women and serve those on Parole, Probation (both County and Federal), the Native American population and those who are victims of Commercial Sexual Trafficking. We congratulate Bill & Chris Lane for this honor.
Jason and Diane Horton are the founders of Horton Ministries, a non-profit outreach ministry. It started in November 1996, when the Lord placed the desire in the hearts of Jason and Diane to reach out to the homeless on the streets of Stockton, California. They handed out soup made by their next-door neighbor (about 85 years old at the time) and served it off the back of their pastor’s truck, Pastor Orvelester Strassner of Eastside COGIC. In the days to follow, the Lord led them to start feeding every week. So, every Saturday, they would prepare meals, pass out blankets, and provide clothes and shoes for those in need. After serving the homeless, feeding the elderly, and teaching Bible Study, Apostle Jason Horton knew for years that he would open a church and he waited for direction from the Lord as to when and where. In January 2003 he opened his first church, House of Grace "God’s House of Many Colors". That church led to another, and then another, eventually leading the House of Hope on Michael Ave. In 2013 God led the Horton Ministries to Crescent City, CA, leaving the House of Hope in the loving and capable hands of Pastor Frances Wesson. In 2014 The Lord directed them to Lighthouse Community Church in Crescent City. Since 2017, Apostle Horton ministers in Pelican Bay Prison where he continues to work as a volunteer chaplain. Since 2018 Apostle Horton, with Lady Horton at his side, serves as the pastor of Lighthouse Church. We thank God with the Hortons for His mighty power and how God is always proving. Rev. Dwight Williams is an established religious leader and activist who is deeply involved in the Greater Stockton community. Williams has served for more than 30 years as a local pastor and for 10 years as president of New Genesis Housing Development, a faith based nonprofit organization dedicated to community development and improving lives. Currently Williams serves as a member of the San Joaquin County Commission on Aging and as Chairman of the Republican Party of San Joaquin County. Williams also serves as a business consultant. He is married to the beautiful Phyllis Y. Williams, a Stockton native who serves by his side, committed to building up God’s Kingdom and standing on the principles of Jesus Christ. She has served her community as an educator, a mental health advocate, and in working with small children. They have 2 children of their own and have been married for over 25 years. Carrie Bell Stamper, originally from Union Spring, Alabama, has spent the last several decades in the state of California. After some time spent in East Palo Alto, CA, she currently resides in the city of Stockton, CA. She is the wife of Pastor Dr. Larry George Stamper, working by his side at the Heavenly Gate Church in Stockton, CA. Together, they have 2 children, Larry II and daughter, Phoebe. While serving her family as wife and mother, her church as first lady, and being a mentor and blessing to those around her, she earned her doctorate degree in Biblical Studies from Good News Bible College & Seminary right in San Joaquin County. We are so honored to confer upon Dr. Carrie Stamper the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, especially after conferring upon her husband, Dr. Larry George Stamper, an earned Doctorate of Philosophy in Theological Studies, both conferred degrees at the Love Thy Neighbor Awards Banquet on January 25, 2020 in Stockton, CA. Carrol Phillips Hope & Roy Hope’s story is one of love, survival, perseverance, and sacrifice. Before becoming one in holy matrimony, their individual life experiences were commonly located in Stockton, CA. It is in Stockton where Carrol grew up, started her own family, and began her professional career in Healthcare Management. Beginning her career as a Practice Manager for a medical group in the Central Valley, she then formed her own company, Big Valley Billing and Management. She continued her education and obtained her CCS, CCS-P certifications and in 2004 joined HFS Consultants in Oakland. She holds certifications from the American Health Information Management Association, one as a Certified Coding Specialist, and one as a Certified Coding Specialist- Physician based. Roy is a former police officer for SPD and former Police Chief for Spirit Lake, ID. He is also skilled in construction and auto body repair and paint, currently serving his community by teaching local students auto body painting. Together, the Hopes are committed to giving of their time, to volunteerism, to helping others, and giving of themselves. Their children share in their need to serve others as well. Carrol’s daughter is Marla Sousa, a politician, seeking to serve constituents in California’s District 10, and Roy’s son, Michael Hope is a veteran having served on an extended tour in Iraq. McKinley & Patricia Lloyd are a beloved couple and well-known throughout the city of Stockton for their works and dedication to their local church, the contributions they make to collegiate young people, and the music that Mrs. Lloyd brings with her husband by her side. While Patricia is a native to California, McKinley Lloyd is a native of Louisiana and has lived in California for the past 48 years. He is retired from the City of Stockton where he was employed for over 26 years, retiring as a Human Resources Director in 2002. He is also a retired -Major (Lt. Colonel, promotable). He has been active in a number of professional, service, and community organizations. He served as the International Personnel Management Association {IPMA) Central California Chapter President, Western Region President and Western Region Representative on the Executive Council. Patricia Lloyd is the founder of the Patricia Lloyd Scholarship Concert Association, an organization that uses music and the performing arts to assist nearly 70 students with their college education. In 2019, the PLSCA joined forces with Prove It Athletics to form the Limitless Youth Project (LYP) to provide college scholarships, tutoring, and athletic training to area youth. She is also a published author for her book, “Who Am I in Christ?” She has been playing the piano and singing in the church since the age of five. “Annie” Sita N. Bazinga, originally from The Congo in Africa, has been in California for over 2 decades. She is a mother, grandmother, and widow. Formerly, she worked as an attorney for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and has now dedicated her professional life to mental health initiatives, her life to community service, her wonderful family, and service to her church, and do whatever she can to help build up God’s Kingdom. She loves the Lord Jesus and she works as His humble servant in the community and in her local church, Unity Community Christian Baptist Church where her pastor is Rev. It is in her local church where she served as the President of the WMU, helping to feed the hungry, clothe those in need, minister to young people, and encourage men and women, alike. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Humphrey’s College in Stockton, CA. STOP YOUTH VAPING INITIATIVE
This country is facing a serious crisis. E-Cigarettes and Vaping are causing addiction among youth at a frightening rate. The physical, mental, and social toll on youth is astronomical. But they don’t know that, and no one is telling them anything contrary to their “extracurricular activity”. We want them to have the truth before it becomes a problem for their families and themselves.
Mental – Retarded brain development leads to less inhibited behaviors. Also, higher likelihood of more addictive behavior in future. Neur0plastic changes due to behaviors reinforced by chemicals in vaping are more deeply ingrained. Socially – Vaping is becoming a socially acceptable behavior. The same as cigarette use was in the past. The use of ecigarettes and vaping will limit employment opportunities for youth entering the job market.
We know for a fact that use of these devices leads to addiction. These are not just cool toys that create water vapor. They are, for the most part, nicotine delivery devices. They are also commonly used to deliver THC and other drugs. None of these drugs are used for good in youth.

I have identified five ways in which many pastors tend to do ministry. 1.
They do everything themselves. That's how most leaders try to function, especially when the congregation is small. Eventually the realization hits: “This is too much work!”
2. They do nothing at all. This method does not produce the results you are looking for and will eventually cause you to go backward. That's too much disappointment!
3. They hire out. Some churches pay others to manage part or the entire load. This choice may work when the economy is flourishing, but in economic downturns, this is expensive. That's too much money! 4. They delegate everything. Even to people who have not been properly trained. This causes your quality and excellence levels to plummet. That's too much mediocrity! 5. They develop others. Some leaders teach people how to do the task but fail to develop the head and the heart of the leader. That's too much lost time! Each of these ways of operation has a negative drawback. Obviously, a leader's focus should be number 5 - to develop people into leaders.
