The Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

Dear Heavenly Father, Your word in Romans 10:9 says, ”That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” So Father, I come, humbled before you with a sincere heart, confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart that you died for my sins and was raised from the dead. Father, I receive your most precious gift to me today, right now, even though I am so unworthy. And now I know that I am saved. Lord, I thank you for your love and for your mercy. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Page 4

Highlights from Bishop Andrew Watkins’ Consecration: While unknown designers were compe;ng for and eagerly awai;ng Michelle’s unveiling of what she would wear on Inaugura;on Day, day and evening, the Consecra;on CommiCee was at work preparing, hos;ng, praising & worshiping God, singing glory to His name as they got ready for the Consecra;on of Bishop Andrew Watkins, Sr., Ph.D. The program was simple, but spirited. The audience was filled with people from various age groups, colors, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. The music was plenteous, joyful, and welcoming. And, most importantly, the anoin;ng of the Holy Spirit filled the sanctuary as many filled the seats. The event was graced with Praise & Worship songs given by sisters,

Daniela and Rebecca BarreC. The Anointed Praise & Worship singers of the New Direc;on Chris;an Fellowship Church of Houston graced the audience with harmonious selec;ons along with a blessed performance from The Anointed Praise Dancers, also

from New Direc;ons. And to top it off, Marybeth along with her father of over 80 years of age, sang and played the saxophone so melodically and beau;fully. AGer much singing, praising, dancing

and acknowledgements, the Presiding Prelate, Bishop Robert F. Durgan, blessed the congrega;on with a great message before “The Consecra;on”. With his wife Dorceia at his side, Bishop Durgan commissioned Bishop Watkins to join him at the alter. The ceremony was a long litany of ‘I do’s’ and ‘I will’s’, the anoin;ng of oil up Bishop Watkins’ head, and the dressing him of the vestments that included the placement of a ring on his finger by wife, Dorceia. To God be the glory for blessing this great night of prayer, praise, worship to God, and consecra;on from God through His people. We ask that you con;nue to pray for the leadership and the membership of the Fourth Ecclesias;cal Jurisdic;on of the All About Christ Network. You are welcome also to come and grow with us!

Bishop Watkins Consecration Banquet It was a night to remember, a ;me to evolve, and a moment to reconcile what God desires for our lives. While the program got underway, The Anointed Praise Dancers and Singers took to the stage again to use their giGs to give God glory. Increase Your Leadership Intelligence - Maximize Your Inluence, Impact, & Income By Dr. Keith Johnson Social scien;sts in the study of human poten;al have created tests to evaluate a person's level of achievement in life. These tests are supposed predictors of a person's future educa;onal achievements, poten;al, quality of rela;onships, job performance, and income. In 1905, French psychologist Alfred Binet developed the first IQ (Intelligence Quo;ent) test. The thesis was that a high score on this test measured a person's intelligence.

IQ plays a role in maximizing your poten;al, but there's more. For example, our Emo;onal Quo;ent (EQ) also impacts how a person leads. We even have fashion experts for men who have successfully produced the GQ magazine that evaluates and educates men on fashion trends.

What Is Missing? Do you know really bright, emo;onally strong, and beau;fully dressed people who never seem to achieve anything and are always broke? On the other side, do you know people who are not very bright, emo;onally healthy, and poorly dressed who have achieved incredible things

in life? In my sixteen years of studying human poten;al, I have found that influence, impact, and increase depend on something beyond our IQ, EQ, or GQ. I have discovered that a person's LQ- Leadership Quo;entis a significant and primary predictor of the size of a person's impact, influence, and income.

What is LQ? LQ is the study of your personal leadership intelligence, which brings men and women to the maximum of their God-given poten;al!

Leadership Quo;ent Defini;on Leadership Quo;ent (LQ) is a composite measure of a person's leadership skills that posi;vely influences people to join that person in achieving desired outcomes that benefit others.

LQ Solu;on Key - You will only fulfill a frac;on of your poten;al all by yourself. Increasing your ability to influence people, maximizes your personal poten;al for achievement.

I have iden;fied five ways in which many pastors tend to do ministry. 1. They do everything themselves. That's how most leaders try to func;on, especially when the congrega-

;on is small. Eventually the realiza;on hits: This is too much work! 2. They do nothing at all. This method does not produce the results you are looking for and will eventually cause you to go backward. That's too much disappointment! 3. They hire out. Some churches pay others to manage part or the en;re load. This choice may work when the economy is flourishing, but in economic downturns, this is expensive. That's too much money! 4. They delegate everything. Even to people who have not been properly trained. This causes your quality and excellence levels to plummet. That's too much mediocrity! 5. They develop others. Some leaders teach people how to do the task but fail to develop the head and the heart of the leader. That's too much lost ;me!

Each of these ways of opera;on has a nega;ve drawback. Obviously, a leader's focus should be number 5 - to develop people into leaders. However, the challenge is having the ;me, money, and training material. That's where The LQ Solu;on Book can help you develop and train more qualified leaders for your en;re church. Your ministry will only grow to the degree of your church's ability to care for more people.

Installing the Bishop’s Cabinet Some may suggest that entering into the office of bishop is like going into warfare. They may suggest the spiritual warfare that catapults. They may find themselves at war with colleagues and parishioners alike. They may even find themselves warring with themselves in search for peace in the

decisions that they must rest with. I believe this is why the Word In Proverbs 24:6 it reads, “For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a mul;tude of counselors there is safety.” (NKJV) Walking in the wisdom of the previous scripture is a must and choosing wise counsel must be prayerful

and careful. ACached to this January/ February 2013 issue of this magazine, the upcoming cabinet members are listed. We congratulate them in advance for the contribu;on that they will make to the 4th Ecclesias;cal Jurisdic;on and to the leadership of Bishop Andrew Watkins, Sr. We praise God for them!

Looking Back at the Road Martin Luther King, Jr. Paved

Dr. Mar;n Luther King, Jr.

On this past January 21, 2013, the United States of America has come full circle. And how iconic it was for the first black president of the United States of America to be sworn in for a second term on Mar;n Luther King, Jr. Day. Only God could have planned this day. Only God could orchestrate such a momentous occasion. Only God could bring us as a people, bring us as a na;on, bring us a the human race to this place in ;me. As we look back to his Dr. King’s final speech: “I’ve Seen the Promised Land,” we know that God was truly using him as a vessel. Mar;n Luther King Day, 2013, made us all feel like we made it to the mountaintop. We all feel like we have come so far. And, even though we know that we s;ll have a long road ahead, we know that the way back down the mountain is go-

ing to be rough and bumpy, we are hopeful, we are energe;c, we are ready to move forward knowing that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13)

And while many of us do not agree with the policies of our current administra;on, we all do not agree with everything that he believes in, many of us are sa;sfied with the hope that we all have a chance and an opportunity to pursue our dreams and know that they can be achieved. The playing ground is becoming more level for all colors of the rainbow in these United States of America.

Bishop Watkins places all of his faith and hope and trust in God and is eager for whatever and

The future for black and white, la;no and Na;ve-American, Chinese-American and middleeastern American is bright and hopeful as long as they are educated, encouraged, informed, protected, and spiritually fed. Dr. Mar;n Luther King, Jr. however God chooses to use him. In Dr. King’s last speech on April 3, 1968, just days before his death, he spoke as a prophet. He spoke with hope on his breath and encouragement in his heart for such babies as Bishop Watkins who was only four years old at the ;me of this speech. Dr. King was hoping and praying for these babies such as Barack Obama, who was only six years old at the ;me of this speech. He was looking to them to make it to the mountaintop. We praise God for how He used Dr. King to pave a way for those who were coming behind him. Look how far he has brought us as a na;on! Page 23

A Lesson in Loving Myself In Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” I believe that this was wriCen when the self-esteem of men was at an all-;me high. I said that because it says in Levi;cus 19:18, “Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour

as thyself: I am the Lord. It was a ;me when the assump;on that men loved themselves, took care of themselves and would not do anything to harm themselves. Therefore, with this idea of doing no harm to oneself, God said we should love others with this same love. But then, Jesus came and gave a new commandment because He knew that people were

A Lesson in Finding Love: Loving God by Loving God’s People

WJQI LM LGYN? When determining what love is, many resort to their first source of feeling loved. That is usually their mother. The first one who nurtured them, fed them, cared for them, carried them. This par;cular scripture reads: “22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23. gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” We must love others enough to respond to them with the Fruit of the Spirit. That requires that we walk according to the Spirit of God and not our flesh, not our own desires, not our own aStudes.. Achieving this helps us to love others and give our love away freely.

He uses you to love His people through your obedience. Plain and simple.

Dear Patron, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support. This promotion to Bishop is one that I receive with great humility and honor. I give God all of the praise, glory, and honor for blessing me and my family! By supporting this Consecration Celebration, you will help us to declare and decree the Word of God in I Corinthians 12:4-7: 4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differ-

ences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the proit of all! Your decision to support our jurisdiction means so much because with your support, our jurisdiction will enable us to launch our message that the spreading of God’s Word throughout the world during this time is very important. It will also help us spread the word that denominations, ministries, and churches must unify and come together, celebrating the common bond of unity through Jesus Christ, Our Lord!. Thank You ! May God continue to Bless & Keep You & Your Family!

THE MAN OF GOD & HIS FAMILY: A DEEPTER LOOK AT BISHOP ANDREW WATKINS SR., PH.D. His Beginnings: Bishop Watkins was born to Shirley Harkless and Eugene Watkins in Brooklyn, New York. He is the second of five children of their household. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters: Norris, Rosemaria, Crystal, and Steven. Now, he is the stepson to Deacon Don Fields. Along with his siblings, hey grew up with a strong, Chris;an background. He is the great-grandson of a Pentecostal preacher and a grandson of a deacon along with many family members who answered the call to preach as well. First Lady Dorceia Watkins also comes from a strong, Chris;an heritage. Born to Dorsey and Loyce McCullough, her paternal grandfather was a Bap;st preacher, her maternal grandmother was a Methodist pastor, all four brothers have answered the call to preach along with a host of rela;ves from both sides of her family. Bishop Watkins was saved and bap;zed at the age of 12 at First Bap;st Church by Pastor Alex White in Charleston, SC. Then at the age of 14, he was saved and bap;zed in the spirit at the Bibleway Temple Church under Bishop Huie Rogers in Brooklyn, New York. At the young age of 5, Lady Dorceia received Jesus at Bethel AME Church, Leavenworth, KS where her father, Rev. Dorsey McCullough was holding a revival. They have both gone through trials in life, but have been able to come together as God’s giG to each other to be used as instruments to build God’s kingdom. The Family Man: Bishop Watkins is a great husband, father, son, and brother. His commitment to honor his parents goes beyond the call of duty and he does all that he can to make life easier for both his parents and his mother-in-law as he did for his late father-in-law as well. As a father, he has been a wonderful provider, nurturer, source of encouragement, and controlled disciplinarian. His children have been his greatest giGs and he cherishes all ten children close to his heart each and every day. His children include seven boys and three girls ranging in age from 27-years-old to one-year-old. And, there is one grandson, _____________, __ -year-old. He has been blessed to have Megan, Ashley, Andrew II, Leeandru, Tyrone, Juanita, Dorsey, Solomon, Isaac, and Norris. Him and his wife, First Lady Dorceia Watkins, have been married for over 12 years and have been happily married throughout. Priori;es are very important to them both and they understand that God is first in both of their lives, their marriage is second, their family is third, and then ministry. Bishop Watkins believes in what he teaches: that ministry begins at home. God has truly been at the forefront of their lives and they look forward to where God will take them as they strive to walk in obedience.
