DEPUTY PRINCIPAL
TUESDAY 2 JULY – 4.30 to 7.30PM HELD IN THE ATRIUM All students will soon be issued with a report that is designed to give an indication of their progress so far this year. There is a report evening planned for parents to meet with the teachers to discuss the report. This will be held in the Atrium on Tuesday 2 July between 4:30pm and 7:30pm. Please note that online booking of interviews through the Family Connection are now available and will close on Sunday 30 June. From 1 July, appointments will be filled in manually with the appointment form posted out with the report. Once reports have been posted out, they will be available for viewing online through Family Connection / Student Information / Documents.

National Champions: Mohanshu Vaidya, Ed Allison, Sebastian Thomas, Aiden Wachter and Vishva Dave with CEO of NZIQ, Jonathan Jansen New Zealand's Microsoft Office Specialist's National Champions have just been announced - and five are from Avondale College! They will now travel as part of the New Zealand team to compete in the world championships, in New York City, at the end of July. The qualification of these students is an outcome of months of learning, training and practice, along with success in school and regional competitions. PowerPoint 2013 – Mohanshu Vaidya (Y11) Excel 2013 – Ed Allison (Y12) Excel 2016 – Sebastian Thomas (Y13) Word 2013 – Aiden Wachter (Y11) Word 2016 – Vishva Dave (Y12) "We are excited to take some of the Avondale students back to the world championships to defend the title they won last year," said Jonathan Jansen, CEO of New Zealand Industry Qualifications. The MOS World Championships receives around 1.3 million entries globally. About 150 university and school students will compete in the USA, representing over 50 countries.

Avondale College is obliged to confirm all candidate entries to Britain and to make payment soon after this date. This means that we are unable to enter students who have not paid by 28 June. Payment should be made by internet banking, or via the parent payment portal through Family Connection, or at the College office between 8.00am and 4.00pm.
