B JUNIOR PRIZEGIVING

The tenacity and endeavour of our junior students was celebrated at yesterday's Junior Prizegiving. Students received prizes and merit awards recognising their academic achievement this year. Sporting excellence was also acknowledged. Congratulations to all who were recognised yesterday, and in particular to those who received Special Awards: Bronwyn-Fifa Buller, Vishva Dave and Eleana Nash. The top academic award of Junior Dux went to Emily O’Callaghan. Congratulations, Emily! For a full list of awards and recipients, see Page 3 & 4.
YEAR 9 BIG DAY IN The Year 9 Big Day In was a huge success again this year with all 21 home room classes putting in a fantastic effort. All classes demonstrated our HEART values, especially endeavour and atawhai, coming together to celebrate and consolidate the strong relationships they had formed within their home rooms over the year, collaborating on both creative and physical activities. In the morning they worked together to design gigantic newspaper towers, ingenious newspaper animals and glamorous newspaper costumes, with 9CPB, 9WLA and 9YLP winning each event respectively. In the afternoon, a huge tug-of-war tournament resulted in a tense showdown between 9YLP and 9DGN, but 9DGN ultimately proved themselves the stronger, taking away the glory. Overall, 9YLP won the day, but all home rooms should feel proud of how well they came together to support and encourage each other. Well done, Year 9! A big thank you to the Year 9 Deans and home room teachers, PE Department and prefects for organising the day.

Your child’s details will present automatically. You can enter details of the absence and by clicking the “save and submit” button your E Form will automatically be emailed to our Attendance Officer. You will receive a confirmatory email once the absence is approved. This will replace the need for you to supply an Absence note to the Homeroom Teacher.
