Congratulations to Year 13 swimmer Gabrielle Fa’amausili and Year 12 weightlifter Kanah Andrews-Nahu who both received awards at the Trusts Sport Waitakere Excellence Awards dinner on Saturday night.

Gabi received the Secondary School Sportsperson of the Year Award, and Kanah the Junior Sportswoman of the Year as well as the Maori Achievement Award. Also recognised was cricketer (and former Avondale College student) Jeet Ravel, who won the Sportsman of the Year Award.
NOVEMBER School will be closed to junior students
The Trusts Sport Waitakere Excellence Awards are the premier sports awards for West Auckland. The awards celebrate the success and achievement of West Auckland in the sporting arena across all roles in sport. This is the 21st year the awards have taken place and are the only awards in the region that include the celebration of secondary schools.

WHERE'S WALLY Our Performing Arts Academy students put on a wonderful performance at the Where's Wally evening on Thursday evening. Students from the Dance, Drama, Classical and Jazz strands showcased their year's learning in the performing arts, taking the audience on a journey around the world as they referenced the adventures of the elusive traveller, Wally.
