B MĀORI & PASIFIKA LEADERS DINNERS Over the last couple of weeks we have hosted our annual Māori and Pasifika Leaders’ Dinners. Both evenings were very well attended by community and church leaders, whānau, students and staff. Mr Lewis and Mrs Watkinson were able to share the incredible academic successes of our students, as well as providing feedback about the work that our teachers do to support them. The undoubted highlight of both evenings were the students who spoke. Each of them spoke proudly about their journeys of success, which they attributed to their families, faith, culture and their personal drive to achieve. The conversations and questions that followed were relevant and thought provoking. Everyone left the evenings with a sense of anticipation and excitement about continuing our work to support Māori and Pasifika achievement.
