June 17-18, 2026

Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 2026 edition of MRO Baltics & Eastern European Region (BEER) on June 17-18, 2026. We are thrilled to host you in Istanbul where we are bringing together the most influential decision-makers in commercial aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul. Over the course of the two days we dive straight into the critical issues impacting your business.
From fleet management dynamics and airframe MRO capacity challenges to economic pressures, aero-engine availability, and workforce shortages, our panels will go beyond surface-level trends to provide actionable insights. Our exceptional lineup of speakers from airlines, MROs, suppliers, OEMs, lessors, and industry experts, will share their thought leadership which aims to empower us to navigate the complexities of today’s market and prepare for the future.
While the sessions on stage are invaluable, the true strength of MRO BEER lies in the connections made off stage. To help you maximise your networking opportunities, we encourage you to use the Brella app to view the attendee list, manage your schedule, and arrange one-to-one meetings with peers and potential business partners.
We are delighted to acknowledge the support of our sponsors, whose contributions make this event possible. Sustaining Momentum: Strategies for Long-Term Success in Regional MRO Growth
As the fleets of Eastern Europe and the Baltics continue to grow, the region’s MRO infrastructure must evolve to meet rising demand. However, with increasing costs, economic pressures, and global uncertainty, regional players face significant challenges in maintaining competitiveness. Where are the strongest opportunities for MRO investment across airframe, engine, component, and line maintenance? What strategies are key players using to mitigate economic pressures, increased risk and changing regulations? To what extent could collaboration unlock the region’s full potential? Then looking ahead, how can the aviation industry prepare for future challenges in post-conflict maintenance and recertification?

From Global to Local: Rethinking Engine Supply Chain Strategies
Ongoing supply chain disruptions, aging aircraft, and unexpected maintenance demands have led to longer turnaround times and limited slot capacity. These challenges are further exacerbated by a shortage of spare engines, parts availability, and the high cost and scarcity of short-term leases. In response, the industry is increasingly localising operations and establishing new centres of excellence to meet growing demand. How can the aviation industry effectively balance global and local supply chain strategies? How are engine shortages contributing to grounded aircraft and lost revenue? Looking ahead, how can the industry prevent overcapacity as supply chain pressures ease?

The Leasing Landscape: Trends, Challenges and Implications
With the region’s fleet being largely leased and a strong ACMI presence, an update on the leasing market is needed. This session will explore the current trends in aircraft leasing, and how they are impacting airline/MRO operations. Is ACMI leasing a short-term trend or a longterm solution for the aviation industry? From an airline perspective, what are the benefits and risks of ACMI leasing? How can lessors and operators collaborate to streamline end-of-lease transitions?

From Classroom to Hangar: Aligning Academic Curricula with Industry Needs
The persistent lack of skilled talent driven by generational shifts, loss of experienced talent, cross regional competition, and exacerbated by regulatory restrictions on training capacity has resulted in a tipping point. As such we are seeing an increasing number of key players internalising their training. Where are educational institutions’ curricula falling short and how can MROs/airlines work with the institutions to create more effective tailored training programs? What role does technology play in training and helping meet future talent requirements?

10:20am Sponsored Session by Nacelle Lifecycle Management –How to Optimize MRO Cost for Structural Components
This session explores a structured approach to optimizing nacelle maintenance costs throughout an aircraft’s lifecycle. It examines how natural aging effects and unexpected repair demands influence maintenance planning, emphasizing the importance of selecting the right actions at the right time. Key topics include leveraging ad-hoc support options such as pool access and AOG / Airline Support Team (AST) services, as well as implementing on-wing inspections to enable preventive maintenance and reduce unplanned expenses. Using legacy engine types such as the T700 and V2500, along with newer types like the LEAP-1A and GEnx-1B/-2B, the session illustrates practical strategies for lifecycle-efficient nacelle management.

Securing the Skies: Safeguarding Aviation in the Digital Era
The aviation industry is at a crossroads. While AI and digital technologies promise unprecedented efficiency and reliability, they also expose operations to new risks. Cyberattacks, data manipulation, and over-reliance on flawed AI outputs could jeopardise safety and disrupt operations. How can the industry act now to mitigate these potential threats before they escalate? What are the biggest cybersecurity threats, and how can airlines and MROs mitigate them while adopting new technologies? What training and workforce development strategies are needed to avoid potential risks? What lessons can be learned from successful risk mitigation strategies in other industries?
