Kimia Multi-Functional Complex
Location: Chabahar, Iran
The Kimia Multi-Functional Complex is envisioned as a landmark mixed-use development located in the coastal city of Chabahar, Iran. The project aims to create a vibrant urban node that integrates retail, commercial, and office spaces within a cohesive architectural form. The design responds sensitively to the coastal climate and evolving urban morphology of Chabahar, translating environmental and contextual parameters into an expressive, tiered massing strategy.
The concept explores stepped volumetric compositions that generate multiple terraces and shaded zones, encouraging social engagement while mitigating solar exposure. These layered setbacks form an active interface between the building and its surroundings transforming the roofscape into usable, landscaped terraces that promote interaction, relaxation, and visual continuity with the coastal horizon.
In the context of Building Information Modeling (BIM), the project leverages digital coordination to integrate structural, environmental, and façade systems seamlessly. Parametric tools were utilized to refine the stepped geometry and optimize solar shading, material efficiency, and façade performance. Through BIM, design decisions were continuously informed by data-driven analysis, resulting in a resilient and contextually responsive building.

Custom&AdvancedFamilies
In Revit, an adaptive family is a type of family that can adapt to different sizes, shapes, and configurations It's a powerful tool for creating flexible and dynamic content, such as:
Curtain walls
Roofing systems
Structural elements
Furniture and fixtures
Adaptive families use parameters and formulas to adjust their shape and size, making them ideal for complex or repetitive designs. They can be used to create customized solutions that update automatically, saving time and effort.

Point cloud modelling in Revit involves using point cloud dat (e.g, LIDAR Scans) to create accurate 3D models
Point cloud modelling has several uses like Accurate as-built documentation: Captures existing conditions, reducing errors and omissions
Existing conditions modeling: Creates accurate 3D models of existing structures and sites
Cl clash detection and coordination: Identifies potential clashes and issues before construction
Renovation and retrofit design: Helps design and plan renovations more accurately
Topographic surveys: Creates accurate terrain models for site planning and design
Conservation and restoration: Documents and preserves historic structures and sites
Quantity takeoff and estimation: Extracts accurate quantities and measurements from the model
