Express report

The express report is a key output aimed at helping clients meet the challenges of rising energy prices and carbon reduction commitments. It provides a concise assessment of your estate and can be delivered in as little as four to six weeks.

Methodology

Carbon Surgery will assess the performance of buildings using a number of indicators including power consumption, fabric performance, age and expected life span, mode of use and embodied carbon. Targeted advice is then provided to deliver the most effective means of improving overall carbon efficiency.

Case study

North Bristol NHS Trust commissioned Carbon Surgery to provide advice for their Southmead Campus. Avanti working alongside Hulley & Kirkwood engineers analysed the condition and efficiency of the estate to inform a large PFI scheme and future development control plan for the site. The work undertaken allowed radical DEC improvements in some of the poor performing buildings on the site and offered better building and estate management systems to be introduced.
