Hanna Uggla

I am a visual artist and I mainly paint expressive coloristic and large oil paintings. The colours are the core of my paintings. The colours are the notes and the brush strikes give the rhythm. I like to paint with oil colours because the structure and feeling of the painting is thick and enables the painting to have many layers. When a photograph gives a picture two dimensions a painting can have many different perspectives on un issue. A tray can fly in the sky and the colours can change depending on the feelings expressed. I have worked with many different themes and materials over the years but the colours and the oil paint are still the core of my art. I have had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad.

Olen visuaalinen taiteilija ja maalaan usein isoja expressiivisia öljyväri maalauksia. Väri on maalausteni ydin jonka avulla käsittelen asioita. Värit ovat nuotit ja pensselivedot ja viivat antavat rytmin. Öljyvärien koostumus kiehtoo minua ja tykkään maalata monta värikerrostumaa jossa pensselivedot näkyvät ja antavat erilaisen kolmiuloitteisen tunteen kun esimerkiksi valokuvassa. Maalauksessa tarjotin voi lentää ja värit vaihtelevat sen hetkisen tunteen mukaan. Olen työskennellyt eri materiaaleilla vuosien varrella mutta palaan aina takaisin öjyväreihin. Minulla on ollut lukuisia yksityis ja ryhmänäyttelyitä sekä Suomessa että ulkomailla.
