Allen's Poem

Time here in this form is limited We know neither how nor when I think of all the words we’ve shared Exchanges and moments spent

Life is such a trip isn’t it And there’s always much to do But in solitude I’m back to the truth Of my souls point of view

I’m not human I never was Maybe you aren’t either I say because It’s an unearthly feeling How our aura makes everything pause

Cried most days this month Navigating times has been tough The distance and thought of a fading us Became a hell of way too much

I got better in every way When your arms invited me to stay Behind the walls torn down so soon You saw me how I saw you

You’d fear it’d get in the way someday Having not kept a mate who could equate I saw the passion in what you create To see you be great I’d help duplicate

So I’d shown my scars As you were still hidden Innocent lies brought a massive collision Relying on faith to help reach the decision How we were both puppets In God’s game of revision

Because how else would you know love That you said you’ve never met How could I face the trauma If I wasn’t this tested How could we bloom for this cause If old forms hadn’t shedded How would we finish our house If the bricks weren’t first messed with

Who we had dreamed of all our life We have with one another by our side But throughout fights and tempting times Will you keep the end in mind as have I

It came to no coincidental surprise The wife you saw was no disguise The Empress is my final reside You spoke what I see with my minds eye

No matter challenges that we’ll face I’ll give you longevity that is our fate As long as your heart and respect remains Just as pure and honest as mine came Promise me no mindless mind games And I’ll remain infinite through all timeframes

May I not startle you with what I say Spiritually, pride has nothing to gain In ego there is nothing to see Beyond a worldly reality of make believe But you said forever and I said eternally

Despite being flawed Perfection is cheap Patience is the sacrifice For all we will be Together in union and in separate divinity

Though there are many versions of you I see The one I choose to grow with faithfully Is whose heart is similarly on his sleeve Who is young, exploring, and living free Balancing youth with responsibility Along his path was led to me Pondering about the pieces still in between Behind a life that doesn’t come with ease Whose always attracted what's meant to be The true essence of manifestation king

Need you here to wipe my eyes Through good and bad trying times For the depth of my love I won’t apologize Because I know I can only live this one time And every time I’ve met your eyes I see a dream, angel of mine

So tell me when we can be us again And my soul can feel lifted As your lips meet my skin After we repair Whatever’s been broken So you can tend to my body Whose call for you has spoken And I can finally feel safe Not having to escape The part of womanhood Catered to by her mate While my heart plays a song In your ear all night long Parading your accomplishments As I would my own You don’t have to say much To let me know I’ve been heard Take it easy if you must Just take care of my words Because one lifetime together isn’t enough So to cherish our presence I’d say is a must Knowing one of my last breaths would be to speak your name I’d hate to say I’ve missed you Like the past several days So I’d hope to say thank you For all we became
