Only weeks out from the 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship opener in Moreton Bay, it looked like the SX1 class would be missing one of its familiar faces –Dylan Wills. After initially planning to sit out the season, a last-minute deal with Yamaha saw the 29-year-old New South Welshman secure a spot on the line aboard a satellite YZ450F.
The opportunity came together quickly, with help from series partners Jaecoo, Forth, and FIST, alongside Wills’ long-time personal sponsors who rallied to make it happen. It was a true team effort to get the 64 back behind the gate, and one that showed the determination and support that surrounds Wills both on and off the track.
With only three weeks to get race-ready, Wills hit the ground running in Moreton Bay, where he delivered a solid showing in the SX1 heat races across both nights to finish third and second. Unfortunately, crashes in the Rounds 1 and 2 finals saw him cross the line 13th and 10th overall to open his campaign.
While the final results may not yet show his full potential, the determination to line up and battle with Australia’s – and some of the world’s – best on minimal preparation speaks volumes about his character.
The signs are promising for Wills, and with more time to finetune his setup and regain that race rhythm, expect the blue 64 to edge closer to the front when the championship heads to his hometown of Cronulla for the next round.

OFFICAL partner OF THE ausx supercross 2025

A new addition to the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship – American, Lux Turner! And what a debut it was in Redcliffe. The Nevada-born racer arrived on Australian soil with little time to prepare, but that didn’t stop him from taking the SX2 class by storm at Kayo Stadium, charging to a double victory that instantly turned heads across the Aussie moto scene.
After finishing P10 overall in the 250SX West standings in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship earlier this year with AEO Powersports KTM, Turner was a late but valuable addition to the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Racing Team.
Despite the tight turnaround, he wasted no time making his mark. Running the number 9, Turner announced himself with authority by winning his first heat race against reigning SX2 champion Shane McElrath of Quad Lock Honda – a statement performance that set the tone for what was to come.
In the finals, Turner backed it up with precision and composure, taking victory in Final 1 before crossing the line in P4 in Final 2, securing the overall on debut in stunning fashion.
On night two, the momentum continued. Once again, Turner was untouchable in his heat and carried that confidence into the main events, going 1-2 to clean-sweep the opening weekend and establish himself as an immediate title threat in the SX2 category.
Planes, travel, time zones – all part of the package. But to arrive late, adapt quickly, and win straight away says everything about Turner’s talent and mindset. Double wins on debut are just the beginning. Keep an eye on the #9 – the charge toward the front has already begun.

At KTM, everything we do comes back to our philosophy of being “Ready to Race.” It’s more than just a tagline – it’s a mindset that pushes us to innovate, compete, and inspire the next generation of riders. That’s why we’re so proud to support the KTM SX85 Futures as part of the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship.
The SX85 Futures is a unique and important part of this series. It gives Australia’s most talented junior riders the opportunity to line up on the very same tracks as the professionals, under the lights and in front of thousands of fans. For these young riders, it’s a chance to test themselves in a high-pressure environment, learn what it takes to perform at the elite level, and experience the thrill of Supercross racing at its best.
For KTM, the value of this program goes far beyond the racing itself. Supporting the SX85 Futures is about investing in the future of our sport. Every champion in Supercross history started as a kid with a dream – racing at their local club, competing at state and national level, and eventually working their way onto the world stage. By giving these riders a platform today, we’re helping build that pathway and giving them the tools and experiences they need to become the stars of tomorrow.
We know the KTM 85 SX is more than just a bike – it’s a stepping stone. It’s the machine that has carried countless young riders into their first taste of serious competition, and it continues to be the choice of serious racers across the world. Seeing these bikes take to the track tonight, piloted by riders with so much talent and determination, is something that makes us incredibly proud.
As the 2025 season begins here in Moreton Bay, I’d like to acknowledge the courage of every young rider lining up in the SX85 Futures. It takes passion, dedication, and bravery to race Supercross at this level, and every competitor deserves recognition for stepping up to the challenge. To their families and supporters –thank you for helping them chase their dreams and for being such an important part of the racing community.
On behalf of everyone at KTM Australia, we wish the SX85 Futures class the very best of luck for the season ahead. We can’t wait to watch the battles unfold, the skills develop, and the next generation of champions emerge right here in the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship.
