EXECUTIVE BOARD FROM THE

Hello to everyone in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association.

My name is Glen Mansfield. Following the recent AGM in Mt Isa, I have been elected to the position of Executive Chairman of the APRA. I have been involved in rodeo since I was 11 years old, been involved in the APRA as a Bareback Riding Director, Executive Director and Chairman of the Competition Committee.

With the northern run winding down, a huge congratulations and thankyou to all the committees, their teams of people and the sponsors for all their work and support that goes into running these great events Also, a huge thanks go to all the contractors supplying stock and the competitors, for creating some very good competition. With the season winding down and the NFR fast approaching, Shane Iker and Diana and the NFR committee are working hard to run a great event for the qualifiers.

A big thankyou to Shane and Jorja Iker for all your work over the last 6 years, steering the APRA to be in a strong financial position. It is a massive job with hours of work done that nobody sees. As well as running your own family business and competing at rodeos That is burning the candle at both ends.

Moving forward, I would like to welcome Brad Pierce onto the Executive Board, along with new event directors, Toby Collins as Saddle Bronc Director, Aaron Bookluck as Team Roping Director and Damien Viney as Bull Riding Director. It will be great to work with them and all the Directors and all the members to move the APRA and the sport of rodeo in a positive direction into the future.

Glenn Mansfield

FROM THE

Happy Spring! Here at Head Office we are happy to say goodbye to - 5 frosts in Warwick and head into warmer days.

I’d like to extend a big thank you to Shane and Jorja Iker for their contribution to the APRA and for all the help you have extended to me as I navigated my first year. It was a pleasure to work with you and we wish you all the best for the future, we will catch up next month. I’d also like to thank Kacey Kenny for his time on the Executive as well, and his assistance whenever I had a question.

Glen has visited the office this past week, and I am excited to continue on with the projects we have been developing and some exciting future plans.
