Formed in 1944 the APRA is the oldest established Rodeo association in Australia. It is the only Australian Association recognised by the International Federation of Professional Rodeo (IFPR), Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) and New Zealand Rodeo Cowboys Association (NZRCA).
