My studio is in the grasslands, west of Canberra. i have been living and working in this environment now for decades. At first I noticed things that lie on and under the grasslands - now i am noticing the grasses themselves - a myriad of different languages that whisper and dance in every direction. the grasses are home to many creatures, including the little eagle which now has become a rare and endangered species. All of this is under constant threat of development. i notice that we haven’t got the balance right between protection of the land and our constant destruction of it. this exhibition is of these grasslands.
