Vocation and Placement - PC(USA) Candidates Thank you for your interest in our theological school and in our graduates!

If you are member of a pastor nominating committee, we welcome you to the campus to visit with prospective Austin Seminary graduates about available positions in the church. These graduates are at various stages in completing the candidacy requirements as a part of the Preparation for Ministry process in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). In several cases, final assessment and authorization to seek a call are pending and may delay the completion of the process.

Class of 2012

Naomi B. Ingrim Temple, Texas Grace Presbytery Naomi Ingrim is a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Temple, Texas.

She holds a degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska. Prior to seminary she was employed as a clinical pharmacist. She is also a Certified Christian Educator, Commissioned Lay Pastor, and served as the Pastoral Assistant at Grace Presbyterian Church, Temple, Texas for over 12 years.

While in seminary she has completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Scott and White Memorial Hospital and Clinics, Temple, Texas in the summer of 2011 and expects to complete a nine month Supervised Practice of Ministry teaching church internship at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, Texas in May of 2012.

Naomi is particularly interested in preaching, worship leadership, pastoral care, teaching and missions. She is seeking a call as a solo pastor or an associate pastor anywhere in the United States.

Krystal Leedy Abilene, Texas Palo Duro Presbytery Krystal Leedy is a member of First Central Presbyterian Church, Abilene, Texas. She received a BA (youth and family ministries) from Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. While in seminary she has completed a nine-month teaching church Supervised Practice of Ministry (SPM) internship at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, Texas. Krystal is particularly interested in preaching, worship, and pastoral care. She is seeking a call as a solo pastor or an associate pastor anywhere in the U.S. She is married.

**A Note about Supervised Practice of Ministry and Clinical Pastoral Education at Austin Seminary Austin Seminary is committed to its task of preparing men and women for Christian ministry, service, and leadership. One of the strengths of a theological education at Austin Seminary is the Supervised Practice of Ministry (SPM). This program offers students an opportunity to gain knowledge and develop ministry skills in congregations under the supervision of competent and experienced persons who have been trained and certified by the Seminary. Supervised Practice of Ministry offers students the opportunity to develop close relationships among the members of the congregations they serve. There are three SPM tracks. The year-long internship is for students who are able to work for an eight-tofifteen month period in a particular parish setting. The summer internship provides students with a ten-week, full-time congregational ministry. The teaching church allows students to engage in SPM part time in the Austin area while attending classes during the fall and / or spring terms.

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) offers students an educational experience in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, mental health institution, or local congregation and is conducted under the supervision of a certified clinical pastoral educator. Students usually complete one unit of CPE in ten weeks. Clinical Pastoral Education does not ordinarily meet the Supervised Practice of Ministry requirement. Pastoral Care in a Hospital Setting is a seminar (ordinarily four weeks in duration) that introduces students to the concepts and practices of ministry in a medical context.
