Lifer Loyalty Lasts
T
he Class of 2026 entered a new chapter of their lives as sixth graders at Austin Prep. Throughout their time at the school, the Lifers formed deep bonds through collective experiences in Middle and Upper School, sharing in the many activities and traditions that brought them closer over the years. Time has passed quickly, and the seniors will begin uncharted adventures at colleges across the country. Being a Lifer means watching their grade and the entire Austin Prep community grow both in size and affinity every year. College will be a big change from their middle and high school experiences, but they feel prepared to take it on. As Gabriella Maggicomo ’26 reflects, “Over the last seven years, being a Lifer has become something I will never forget. The community, especially the teachers, has always pushed us to succeed academically and supported us along the way. My favorite Middle School memory was going on field trips to Fenway and Gillette Stadium because they helped our class grow closer.” That sense of growth and connection is shared by many, including Will Putney ’26 who said, “I am going to miss my friends and the community I’ve come to know over the past seven years. Austin Prep has become a part of my identity and has shaped me into the person I am today.” The Lifers have grown up together since sixth grade, and now they’re setting off on new paths while holding onto the memories from their seven years at Austin Prep.
Above: On the day of the Senior BBQ, the Lifers were given back their time capsules that were created as 6th graders in 2020 during Covid-19.

Siblings Shared Hallways, Shared Memories
H
aving a sibling at Austin Prep adds a special layer to the school experience. From community meetings and shared classes, to sports teams and daily routines, siblings often become each other’s biggest supporters. For Kristina Mamakos ’31, being on the ski team with her brother, George Mamakos ’26 allowed them to support one another in a unique way. She commented, “One of the best memories that I’ve had with my brother is being able to be on the ski team with him and when either of us are about to race we both cheer each other on.” Beyond sports, everyday routines–car rides to school, singing along to music, and quick hallway conversations– make having a sibling at Austin Prep meaningful. As older siblings graduate, those small, familiar moments begin to fade, making the transition especially emotional. That sense of absence is something many students can relate to as they prepare for life after high school. For Jasmine Labriola ’26, the hardest part of having a sibling graduate is knowing she won’t be around during the school day anymore. Seeing her in the halls and sharing the same homework made school feel more connected and familiar. She remarked, “I’ll miss seeing her during the day and knowing she’s getting the same homework assignments I am.” As she and her sister prepare for college, the shared experiences they had together and the created memories will last long after graduation.

CLASS OF
2026 Disney World, and shared countless moments in between that will remain part of your Austin Prep story forever. As you look back through these pages, I hope you remember not only the milestones, but also the friendships, laughter, challenges, and moments of growth that defined your Austin Prep years. These experiences have shaped you in ways that may not yet be fully apparent, but they will remain with you long after graduation. The memories you created here will always connect you to one another and to Austin Prep.
Dear Members of the Class of 2026,
Y
ou may recall that together we began the first day of your senior year in the Chapel of St. Augustine. On that day, I challenged you to work together in unitas – to embrace your final year as a class and to create lasting memories through the traditions and experiences that make Austin Prep such a special community. I pointed out how quickly time would pass in your final year at Austin Prep. What seemed distant then – the senior class trip, prom, and all the milestones in between – arrived in the blink of an eye. Those moments are now part of your cherished and lasting memories of Austin Prep. As a class, you set the example at Convocation and led the Parade of Flags. There, you proudly hoisted your class banner. At graduation – in your final class activity before leaving campus as alumni – you lowered the banner, leaving a legacy for those who follow you. You filled our pep rallies with energy, animated the Christmas season as a community of faith, stood tall as Austin Prep’s Class of 2026 at Walt
20
Through it all, the faculty and staff prepared you not just for success, but for service to the common good. In the Augustinian tradition, we encouraged you to listen to the Inner Teacher, whom St. Augustine identified as Christ – the voice of Truth, wisdom, and conscience that guides each of us on the restless journey toward God’s kingdom. The world doesn’t just need more talented people – it needs people whose intelligence and talents are anchored in goodness. The world will be better because your Augustinian hearts are filled with veritas, unitas, and caritas. As you travel on your Austin Prep journey beyond 101 Willow Street, continue to seek Truth, serve others generously, embrace the future with confidence and humility, and know that you are loved. Let your Austin Prep education inspire you to advance the City of God here on earth. Thank you for the leadership, spirit, and character you brought to Austin Prep. Congratulations, Class of 2026 – we are proud of all you have accomplished! God bless you all,
James Hickey, Ph.D., P’22,’23,’24,’27 Head of School

Fall events
Leading the Way
T
he fall season at Austin Prep flew by, marked by league-winning teams, the annual Senior Disney trip, and Convocation. Opening the 20252026 school year at Convocation, School-wide President Catherine Antonelli ’26 reflected, “My favorite Convocation tradition is the raising of the class banner… The raising of the class banner signifies the start of the seniors’ last year on campus, and the banner symbolizes not only the end of a chapter in their academic journeys, but also celebrates the achievements of all members of the class and their preparedness for their futures.” Convocation is a time to reflect and prepare for an exciting season of academics and athletics. Sports teams excelled through the fall, especially Competition Cheer as they rose to the top of their league and became MSAA Division 4 State Champions! Captain Ava Pazzia ’26 emphasized, “The highlight of the season to me was seeing all the hard work pay off. Winning States showed myself and my team that anything is possible and if you work hard you can accomplish anything.” To close out the fall, the Seniors embarked on their annual trip to Disney. Danielle Zaza ’26 expressed, “An aspect of the trip that helped me bond with my friends and classmates was definitely waiting in lines. Though the waits were sometimes really long, it was the perfect time to talk, learn more about my classmates, and create stronger bonds with my friends.” From the raising of the class banner to the final moments at Disney, the fall season celebrated the spirit, achievements, and connections that make Austin Prep special.

Convocation In the One, We are One
E
very September, the Austin Prep community comes together to celebrate Convocation. This tradition brings together faculty and community to begin the school year. This year we welcomed The Most Reverend Robert P. Reed, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston to lead the Convocation liturgy. Mass began with a speech from SchoolWide President Catherine Antonelli ’26, who expressed that she was excited for the school year. Catherine shared, “My goal was to excite teachers, students, and faculty for the school year ahead. My favorite part of my Convocation speech was being able to thank all of those who make our Austin Prep experience possible.” Another tradition was the class flags being paraded into the stadium. This custom displays unity by all the students together to represent their class. Katarina Burke ’27 said, “Being able to carry my class flag is such a great opportunity. It reminds me of the weight of my role as class president and allows me to remember exactly who I represent each day.” This year’s Convocation set the tone for a school year rooted in leadership, appreciation, and community–values that continue to strengthen Austin Prep each day.

Blue Mass Gathered in Faith
A
ustin Prep gathered as a school community for its annual Blue Mass, a tradition dedicated to honoring first responders and recognizing the courage, sacrifice, and service they provide every day. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, and other members of the community to reflect on gratitude, faith and service. The liturgy was marked by student involvement, including readers and choir members who helped lead the Mass. For many students, preparation played a key role in making the experience meaningful. Choir member Sofia Cataldi ’26 shared that the group began rehearsing weeks in advance. “When we first started going over the songs, we needed work,” she said. “Over time, we got much more comfortable with them.” Cataldi added that her favorite piece performed was A Rightful Place, noting that it is a favorite within the Austin Prep community and often sung. Similarly, Higor Carvalho Fontoura Filho ’27 emphasized preparation and reverence, sharing, “I prepare for my role at Mass by reviewing my responsibilities ahead of time, praying, and making sure I’m focused and respectful.” Student readers also reflected on the importance of their roles. Sydney Klein ’28 explained, “My favorite part about being a reader at Mass is being able to share God’s message and feeling like a part of my community.” Overall, the Blue Mass served as a powerful reminder of the dedication of first responders and the importance of coming together as a faith-filled community to honor those who serve selflessly.

T
his year’s play, The Internet is Distract - OH LOOK A KITTEN! premiered on stage at Meelia Hall in early November. The play was filled with riveting and action-packed scenes as the audience follows Micah, played by Bella Bianco ’27, as she gets distracted by various different apps and websites in her attempt to finish an essay at the last-minute. Gavin Huntress ’28, who played Taylor, internet enthusiast and Micah’s best friend, shared that he prepared for the play, “by practicing my lines and the scenes I struggled with. Right before the show I always take deep breaths and remind myself that months of preparation have gone into this and I know what I am doing.” Through all the rehearsals and hard work put into this production, the cast found ways to grow closer together. Gabby Guerreiro ’28, whose role was Google, reflects on a pre-performance tradition, “One moment I really feel helped to bond the cast was the circle we made before going on stage where we did some warmups and gave each other words of encouragement.” The countless hours of preparation, teamwork, and dedication culminated in a performance that not only entertained the audience but also created lasting memories and friendships for the cast and crew.

T
he Senior class trip to Disney World was an unforgettable experience filled with excitement, laughter, and meaningful memories. From thrilling roller coasters to late-night conversations, the trip gave everyone a chance to connect outside of the classroom. One of the most momentous parts of the trip was the class dinner. As Josie Palermo ’26 shared, “The class dinner was definitely the experience that helped me bond the most with my classmates. At the dinner, it was more than just my typical friend group, other classmates sat with us, which made it more enjoyable! The food was also really good too, which helped!” The dinner created an environment where students could socialize and grow closer as a class. Even waiting in long ride lines turned into fun bonding moments. Many students mentioned that playing Heads Up! in the line made the time fly. When it came to rides, Paul Dundin ’26 shared, “My favorite ride was either the Yeti ride or the Star Wars.” But more than just about the rides and attractions–the trip was about celebrating friendship and making another unforgettable memory together before graduation.

Flying High All Season Long
T
he Austin Prep Competition Cheer team had a season to remember. Throughout the entire fall, the team showed determination, teamwork, and a strong desire to win. The music and choreography helped them stand out at every competition and showed how much effort they put into perfecting their routine. As Ava Moore ’26 put it, “I think the biggest thing that made us successful was we all had a common goal to walk off the mat with no regrets,” which led them to winning Regionals and States. Lizzy Megaloudis ’26 said it best, “Our team grew closer throughout the season by having hard practices, and it required us to have to work together.” Even when practices were exhausting, the team never gave up. Everyone pushed themselves and each other because they wanted to win so badly and knew how important it was to give their best effort. All of their hard work paid off in competitions. The team won Leagues, became back-to-back Regional Champions, and went on to become State Champions! With a season defined by perseverance and teamwork, the team left behind a championship legacy that will inspire future Cougars for years to come.

One Team, Seniors One Spirit
T
he Austin Prep Game Day Cheer team brought excitement and school spirit to every home game this season. From Senior Night to weekly performances, the team worked together to support the Cougars and energize the crowd. “We would say a prayer before heading down to the field for the game. We would also get cougar paws stamps on our faces and share snacks before the game,” said Buddhini Perrera ’26. With weekly bonding activities and traditions before games, the team felt prepared and united. Nora Moodie ’26 reflected that Senior Night was her favorite moment, as the team came together to celebrate their final game with families and classmates. “It was fun for all the families to get together and all the Seniors to cheer for one last game,” she shared. That sense of togetherness made the night especially meaningful for the entire team. Through their enthusiasm and teamwork, the Game Day Cheer team played an important role in making each game day memorable!

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY 86
All the Way to the Finish Line
T
he Girls Cross Country season wasn’t just measured in miles or minutes, it was measured in moments. After school practices, hard-working weekends, and race days together quickly proved this wasn’t just a team, it’s a family. Every meet brought nerves, excitement, and the same goal: to show up and give it everything. Before the race begins, the team takes a moment together. As Captain Keira Gagne ’26 explained, “When we are on the starting line, we say a quick Hail Mary before the gun goes off.” It helps everyone take a breath and lock in before the race. Those little things carried throughout the whole season and resulted in big moments. Grace Ditchfield ’26 said it best, “The highlight of my season was definitely Senior Night. It was on our home course, and that is my favorite course we run on because… I beat my personal best by almost two minutes, which was very exciting since I had not beaten it since my Sophomore year. The recognition of Seniors was very exciting, too, because it was a great way to remember my last season.” Personal records were celebrated, tough races were overcome, and no one was left behind. The team’s dedication was also shown in individual success, with Magdelena Tenreiro ’27 earning All-NEPSAC, and Keira Gagne ’26 and Naira Minassian ’31 earning Honorable Mention honors. From tough practices to the final meet, this season showed how strong they are, mile after mile.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Chasing the Line
T
he Boys Cross Country team put together an impressive season, highlighted by team victories and personal bests throughout the year. One of those wins came at the Dexter-Southfield Invitational, where Captain Mike Caruso ’27 reflected on one of his favorite moments: “The highlight of my season was getting a medal at the Dexter Invitational. It felt really good to see all the hard work pay off.” While the accomplishments on the course were significant, the relationships built off the course were just as meaningful. From pasta dinners to bus rides and daily practices, the team found plenty of opportunities to strengthen their bond. Captain Brady McLaren ’26 shared, “I think the bus rides helped the team grow closer. With everyone talking and music playing on the bus the team chemistry builded, which led to more people being on the course and cheering each other on.” That sense of camaraderie carried into every race, with teammates constantly encouraging and supporting one another. The team proved that while medals and fast times are important, the friendships and unity built throughout the season are what truly define success.

FIELD HOCKEY We > Me
I
n a true form of grit, the Varsity Field Hockey team stamped a win in their final battle against Tilton School. The match was back and forth, all of the compact practices and dedication came together in order to secure the win. Throughout the season, the motto “We > Me” was used to ground the team to play for something bigger than themselves. A big aspect created was a strong team culture which helped them to be successful. Eliza Westwood ’26 commented, “The aspect of the field hockey team that I feel has made me the most successful is the unconditional support and community the team has brought me. We are always supporting each other, on and off the field, and I think that is crucial for building a basis of achievement.” It was a fun and memorable season which was a perfect outro for the beloved seniors. Ella Piro ’26 reflected on how the team grew closer over time, “...our traditions helped us grow closer. Listening to music before games, carpooling, getting food together, and participating in our competition game teams—where we stayed in the same groups throughout the season and played games like dodgeball or tennis baseball—created strong bonds in a fun, low-pressure way…these moments beyond pasta parties helped unify the team.” The team looks forward to continuing the culture and improving for next season.

FOOTBALL Brotherhood Under the Lights
T
he Football team’s season was defined by more than just wins and losses. It was shaped by brotherhood, commitment, and shared experiences that brought the team closer together. From intense practices to Saturday games, the players built a culture centered on trust, effort, and playing for one another. A major turning point came during a packed Friday night home game, an atmosphere that helped set the tone for the rest of the season. Quarterback Drew Tisbert ’26 reflected on the impact of that moment, “The momentum we gained from that game fueled the rest of the year.” That energy carried into practices, the weight room, and game preparation, helping establish a standard future teams can build upon. Senior Night served as a powerful reminder of what the program means to its players and families. Noah Florence ’26 shared a meaningful moment with his father [Head Coach John Florence] after the win over Portsmouth Abbey, “I was able to find my father, and we hugged. It has been four years of playing for him, and it was a special moment now that it is all over.” The season also featured notable individual achievements. Aiden Green ’26 and Noah Florence ’26 were named All-NEPSAC, while Salvatore Prezioso ’26 and Drew Tisbert ’26 earned NEPSAC Honorable Mention. Together, these moments defined a season built on brotherhood, effort, and pride in AP Football.

B
acked by exceptional play and a tight-knit team dynamic, the Golf team delivered another memorable season. The team boasted an impressive record, earning ten wins, two ties, and just one loss as they dominated opponents throughout the season. Jay Wang ’27 led the team with a scoring average under par, an extraordinary feat for any golfer. This success was due in part to the bonds formed by the team over the course of the season. Ali Miller ’26 commented, “Matches, team practices, and the end-of-season Ryder Cup” helped the team grow closer during this year’s campaign. Along with the memories made, every team at Austin Prep has its own unique traditions. John Burke ’26 remarked, “A tradition we had as a team is for home matches we would get to the course earlier to go to the driving range,” an informal way to build camaraderie outside of structured practice. More than just an impressive record, the 2025 season was defined by the relationships and memories built along the way.

GIRLS SOCCER Game Face On
T
he Girls Soccer team had an impressive season defined by hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of unity. From the first day of pre-season to the final whistle, the Cougars brought intensity and focus to every practice and match, constantly pushing themselves to improve while supporting one another. Facing tough competition, the team responded with resilience, determination, and confidence. Ava Cote ’26 said, “The highlight of our season was beating Nobles for the first time. We came into the game prepared and determined to win. It was under the lights at home and it felt so good to finally win against them.” Beyond game results, the team drew closer by leaning on each other, as well as through shared experiences like a pre-season trip to Cape Cod. The team’s success came from the strong bond that made them feel like a family; they spent countless hours together, supported one another through tough losses, celebrated every win together, and built lasting connections. Sophie Rosselli ’26 stated, “Our team was successful because we were a family. When we faced tough losses, we picked one another up and moved on to the next challenge. During our wins, we celebrated every moment of the game, which brought us all together. This makes it difficult to graduate, as I am leaving behind the people I have grown so close to, but I know that each of my teammates holds a special place in my heart.” In the end, the bonds paid off, and the team qualified for the NEPSAC Class A Tournament for the first time in program history. The team’s season will be remembered not just for their victories, but for the lasting friendships, unforgettable moments, and unbreakable team spirit that defined their journey together.

BOYS SOCCER
Goals. Grit. Glory.
T
he Boys Soccer team had a season packed with action and memorable moments. There were many key victories and highlights throughout the year, but one stood out for Daniel Fazzolari ’26. He remarked, “Scoring the game winner versus Gould Academy. As a defender I don’t get to score much, so it was a special moment.” That victory gave the team a much-needed boost and helped fuel its determination to push through the challenges that followed. As the season progressed, the team found ways to grow even closer together. When asked what strengthened the team’s bond, Marcus Villaroel ’26 commented, “We grew closer this year through the struggle. After an early-season losing streak, the team battled back to win, losing only once in three weeks at one point in the season.” The resilience and unity built throughout the season became just as important as the results on the scoreboard, leaving the team with memories and lessons that will carry forward into the future.

VOLLEYBALL Bump, Set, Spike, Review
A
ustin Prep Varsity Volleyball had a strong and memorable season, showing consistent growth, determination, and teamwork throughout the year. The team faced challenging opponents but continued to improve with every match, using both wins and losses as learning opportunities that helped them develop confidence and resilience on the court. Long practices and intense games pushed the players physically and mentally, but those challenges ultimately brought the team closer together. Much of their chemistry was built outside the gym, where players made time to connect and unwind together. When asked how they grew closer as a team, Alison Byrnes ’26 shared, “We went to Chickfil-A as a team a lot,” showing how simple moments helped turn teammates into best friends. These bonds translated into stronger communication and trust during matches. The team also embraced traditions that helped build excitement before taking the court. Elena Klimashova ’26 reflected, “Before every game, our run onto the court served as a special tradition of good luck.” That shared ritual brought energy and confidence to the team while reinforcing the sense of unity that defined their season. Overall, the team had a wonderful year marked not only by its accomplishments, but by the friendships, growth, and memories that will continue to inspire future volleyball players.

Winter events A Season of Snow, Spotlights, and Sports
W
inter settles in with a quiet intensity, bringing the elegance of Christmas traditions such as Lessons & Carols and the Nutcracker ballet with the adrenaline of winter sports to life. Transitioning from the fall to winter seasons, students took the stage for the annual performance of the Nutcracker. Matthew Smith ’26 remarked, “My favorite memory from the Nutcracker this year was sitting and stretching backstage with my friends, talking about dance, laughing, and forming new friendships with people I wasn’t close with before.” The dance was elegantly adored and led the perfect segway to the next focus of winter sports. Boys Basketball made quite the splash this year when they achieved the #6 Seed for the Boys Class B Large Team NEPSAC Tournament. Jimmy Vahey ’26 reflected, “The aspect of our team this year that made us the most successful was being able to mature from last year’s season... Being able to work hard and learn from that in the spring, summer, and fall leading up to the season and always showing up is what really helped us this year.” The Ski teams brought home some hardware at the NEPSAC Class B Championships, as the Boys team placed 2nd and Girls placed 3rd. Continuing his winning ways, swimmer Alexander Barone ’27 won the 200m freestyle for the second year in a row at the NEPSAC Division 2 Championships. Together, the grace of the stage and the intensity of competition captured the spirit of winter at Austin Prep, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.

The Nutcracker Waltzing Through Winter
E
ach year the Austin Prep community eagerly awaits the annual Nutcracker performance. What starts as long rehearsals and hard work from many of the students and staff, quickly turns into an unforgettable performance put on at the Collins Center at Andover High School. Sara Fabrizio ’26 shared her insight, “Preparation for the Nutcracker took a lot of rehearsals and practice, but it was rewarding to see everything come together by the performance. It was a fun experience working with everyone and being part of the production.” While all the hard work led up to the final performance, it was the small moments along the way that stood out the most. Claire Harrington ’26 shared, “My favorite moment from the show was when I saw all my teachers, friends, and family in the audience while I was on stage.” Together, these experiences highlight what makes the Nutcracker so special at Austin Prep. It’s not just the performance itself, but the friendships, hard work, and lasting memories created along the way.

very December, the Austin Prep choir performs the extraordinary Lessons & Carols. Hosted twice, once for the student body in Meelia Hall and once for the parents at St. Augustine’s Parish, the celebration includes a multitude of lessons that are read, and a selection of songs are interspersed throughout. This year was particularly special as the choir was not only joined by the entire 6th grade class, but also by pianists, a cellist, a guitarist, and bell players, making the experience feel especially immersive. Cecilia Goldsmith ’26 commented, “It was special to be able to perform at St. Augustine’s Parish for the first time. As a senior, it felt strange but exciting to take a lead on several songs and try my best to inspire the next generation of the choir after learning so much from alumni in years past.” It’s truly inspiring to see this knowledge and experience passed down through the choir, showing a drive to always improve. “My highlight of Lessons & Carols was the song Lully, Lulla, Lullay… when we reached the climax of the song, the blend of all the parts harmonized added more raw emotion to an already emotional song,” Noah Rivera ’26 remarked. The spirit of Lessons & Carols leaves a lasting impression, carrying excitement into the year ahead.

T
his year, the Dance team was defined by its energy, unity, and the strong support system that brought everyone closer together. As Julia Chapian ’26 shared, “Before we compete on the dance floor, we always do a chant together which goes, ‘LFG APVDT’. This helps us gain confidence and energy before we perform, and get rid of all the nerves in our bodies.” This pre-performance tradition became a meaningful ritual, helping the team step onto the floor feeling focused, confident, and connected. That same sense of encouragement carried into everyday practices, where dancers constantly worked to improve not only themselves but each other. Chaewon Hwang ’26 reflected on this, “An aspect of my team that helped me be the most successful was the feedback all my teammates had given me. Whenever we’d run the dance in pairs or in small groups at practice, everyone on the team gave me compliments and things to improve on. This helped me a lot to become a stronger and more confident dancer on the team.” The team’s willingness to support one another through love and constructive feedback created an environment where everyone could grow. More than just a group of performers, this team became a family that built confidence, trust, and unforgettable memories throughout the season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL Driven to Dominate
T
he Girls Basketball team had an exciting and challenging season, filled with growth, teamwork, and memorable moments. Players dedicated themselves to improving their skills both on and off the court, showing commitment during practices and games alike. One of the standout aspects of the season was how the team came together, supporting each other through tough games and celebrating each success with energy and enthusiasm. Teamwork and communication were at the heart of every game, and the players’ ability to trust one another often turned close calls into victories. When asked about the highlight of the season, Ruby Thompson ’27 shared, “Our win against Mount St. Charles was a big win with lots of high energy and we worked well together as a team.” That game exemplified the season’s spirit: determination, collaboration, and fun. As a result of both team and individual success, Mofopefoluwa Ayo ’26 was named the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year in recognition of her outstanding performance on the basketball court. She also reached the impressive milestone of 1,000 career points in just three years at Austin Prep. Ayo remarked, “My team’s belief in me has definitely helped me with my success. They believe in me, even when I don’t believe in myself. They believe in me on my best game days and more worse days. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am now without them.” The season was a true reflection of Austin Prep’s commitment to fostering athletic talent, teamwork, and a love for the game.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Full Court Focus
T
he Boys Basketball team put together a strong and successful season built on hard work, determination, improvement, and teamwork. From the opening practice to the final game, the team consistently challenged itself to improve, embracing the effort required to compete at a high level. A major factor in the team’s success was the close bond formed among the players throughout the season. Captain Jimmy Vahey ’26 reflected, “One way our team grew closer together over the season was through our conversations after practice in the locker room. We would stay there for a long time talking with one another, with everyone contributing to the conversation. Those moments helped us get to know each other better, grow closer as teammates, with still talking about basketball and getting better in that aspect.” That camaraderie translated directly to success on the court. Captain Dan Walsh ’26 revealed a season highlight: “Our win against Dexter and starting the game off 18-0.” Performances like that showcased the chemistry and trust the team developed throughout the year. The team’s commitment to improvement also resulted in a historic achievement, as they qualified for the Class B NEPSAC Tournament for the first time in program history. Through their dedication, resilience, and unselfish play, the Cougars created a season defined by memorable moments and significant accomplishments.

T
he Girls Indoor Track & Field team enjoyed an outstanding season, defined not only by impressive performances but also by an exceptional sense of unity. Whether competing for a win or working toward a personal best, every athlete knew they had teammates cheering them on, creating a culture that helped everyone succeed. The season featured numerous school and personal records, highlighted by Captain Grace Buser ’26 setting a new school record in the 55m Hurdles and Gabby DeNardo ’27 establishing new school records in both the Weight Throw and Shot Put. Buser reflected, “My teammates helped support me and ran/warmed up with me at both meets and practices. My friends really help bring me up, and we help bring each other to greatness on the track.” The team’s strong bond extended beyond competition. Captain Sofiya Radochia ’26 shared, “Before meets, we usually all listen to music together, which really hypes us up and makes everyone feel good before running.” With a culture built on encouragement, hard work, and shared success, the Girls Indoor Track & Field team continued to raise the standard this season while laying the foundation for future achievements.

BOYS INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
Stronger Together: Built on Connection
T
he Boys Indoor Track & Field team had a season focused on improvement, competition, and strong team spirit. Moments like the intersquad meet early in the season helped set the tone, giving teammates a chance to compete side-by-side while strengthening their bond. “Being together during the hard workouts made our team grow closer this season,” said Tyler Mathew ’27. Through tough workouts and exciting meets, athletes supported each other and grew closer as a team. With traditions like pre-meet practices and Dunkin’ runs before meets, the team built both speed and strong friendships. That sense of unity carried through the entire team and was reflected in how athletes encouraged each other both on and off the track. Derek Langenau ’26 emphasized how much those relationships mattered, “I think the connection and sense of community the team had–from the coaches to the sprints to the distance team. Every member had fun as a team and uplifted each other.” In the end, the team’s success wasn’t just measured in times or results, but in the lasting connections they built together.

GIRLS HOCKEY One Team. One Goal.
A
ustin Prep Girls Varsity Hockey continued its rise as one of the premier programs in the NEPSAC, enjoying a highly successful season that culminated with finishing second in the highly competitive Vaillancourt Conference. Throughout the season, the first line–Adia ’27 Murphy, Sarah Sampson ’26, and Kayleigh Norton ’27–racked up a combined total of 120 points and were among the top scorers in the league. Goalie Alex Herbert ’26 also had an outstanding season, reaching her 1,000th save milestone and finishing her NEPSAC career with an impressive .930 save percentage. One of the biggest factors in the team’s success this year was how close the players became. Taking time to bond as teammates translated into strong on-ice chemistry. A phrase often repeated in the locker room was ‘Play for your teammates.’ This message motivated the team and showed in their performance, as they supported each other and celebrated every win equally. The team created strong chemistry throughout the season. As captain Sarah Sampson ’26 echoed, “Team bonding and workouts, but just being together brought us closer.” To say the least, this was an important season for the program, and the team hopes to keep the culture strong and the energy high for years to come. Herbert added, “The highlight of the season was definitely winning the St. George’s tournament. We had never beaten St. George’s before, and it was extra special to win it for the first time ever during my senior year!” Fueled by talent, teamwork, and a strong culture, Austin Prep Girls Varsity Hockey set the stage for continued success in the years ahead.

Built on Ice, Driven by Brotherhood
T
he Boys Varsity Hockey season was defined by consistency, resilience, and a sense of brotherhood that went far beyond the ice. From the first day of the offseason to the final game, the team committed itself to a high standard built on daily effort, preparation, and accountability. That mindset showed in the way they approached every practice and every game. As Cole Davis ’26 explained, “Our biggest accomplishment this season was reaching 20 wins as a team. In our league, that’s not something that comes easy. Every game is competitive, and you have to earn every result.” His words capture what defined this group: a team that showed up every day ready to work, compete, and push each other to improve. One of the most memorable moments came during the Belmont Hill New Year’s Tournament, when the team delivered a complete performance against Ridley College. Nicholas Ranaldi ’26 recalled, “It was an intense game from start to finish… Everyone contributed, and it ended up being a great team win.” It was a moment that reflected not only the team’s toughness, but also its depth and unity. Beyond the wins, it was the small moments–the energy in the locker room, long bus rides, and time spent together–that made the season unforgettable. In the end, this team will be remembered not just for its record, but for the standard it set, the culture it built, and the bond it carried with it every day.

T
he Girls Ski team carved out an unforgettable season this winter, finishing 1st in the Central Mass Ski League (CMSL) and an impressive 3rd place at NEPSAC Class B Championships. An amazing and well-earned 1st place for Stella Masciarelli ’27 in CMSL, contributing many points for the team to finish the season on top. From the very first race, the tone was set for an outstanding season. Captain Maggie Gove ’26 shared her favorite moment, “The highlight of my season was the last slalom practice of the season. Everyone was giving so much effort, and the weather was nice, making for a fun allaround practice.” While strong performances defined their results, the relationships throughout the team that were built really shaped the season. As Captain Kylie Gagné ’26 explained, “I really think that the chairlift talks, freezing practices, and cheering from the top of the mountain brought us closer as a team than anything else.” With a league title and a podium finish at NEPSAC finals, the Girls Ski team proved that speed, support, and strong team culture make a winning team.

T
he Boys Ski team took on a competitive season in the Central Mass Ski League, finishing in 1st place, with an impressive 2nd place finish in the NEPSAC Class B Championships at Pats Peak in Henniker, New Hampshire. With a mix of great leaders and talent, the team consistently delivered strong runs when it mattered most. Leading the way were Thomas Therrien ’28, who earned the #2 spot in the CMSL, Andrew Skeirik ’27 at #3, and Brody Kingsley ’29 at #7. Off the slopes, the team found its strength in the time spent together. Captain Nareg Minassian ’26 highlighted how those moments shaped the season, stating, “The team grew closer mostly during the dryland training. It’s the time where the team bonded the most, even more than the pasta parties.” When it came time to race, the hard work not only on the mountain, but especially in the gym for lifts, proved to impact on their success during the races. “Team lifts for being successful; we grew together with group practices,” said Captain Andrew Skeirik ’27, emphasizing that the hard work paid off on the slopes. In the end, their speed, teamwork, and shared drive made this a season to remember.

he Swim team’s season was defined by hard work, strong performances, and an even stronger sense of community. From early practices to the NEPSAC D2 championship meet, athletes consistently pushed themselves to improve while supporting one another. “The highlight of my season was our championship meet! We all had worked so hard and our hard work paid off. The energy and sense of accomplishment made it unforgettable,” said Samantha Riley ’27. Alexander Barone ’27 won the 200m freestyle for the second year in a row, and broke his own NEPSAC and school records in that event. Matt Janian ’26 placed 3rd in the 100m freestyle. Throughout the season, the team’s success was fueled by its tight-knit bond. Teammates and coaches created an environment of encouragement, helping each athlete perform at their best. Whether it was cheering from the pool deck or pushing through challenging practices together, that support made an impact. As Janian shared, “I think that everyone’s dedication was a huge factor in the team’s success.” Traditions like team breakfasts, long bus rides, and ‘secret swimmer’ gift exchanges strengthened friendships and created lasting memories beyond competition. For many athletes, moments like end-ofseason relays and overnight trips added to the experience, bringing the team closer together. By the end of the season, the team had built not only faster times, but also meaningful connections that will last well beyond the pool.

Spring Into Summer
A
s the school year came to an end, the spring season gave countless opportunities to create memories, overcome challenges, and celebrate accomplishments. From athletic victories to unforgettable performances and the excitement of graduation, spring was filled with moments that showcased the spirit of our school community. On the fields, athletes demonstrated determination and resilience throughout the season. “A lesson that we learned was the importance of perseverance. After losing to a very hard team in a doubleheader, we came back and won our next few games, and this shows our ability to come back after hard challenges,” shared Lucci Igoe ’26. Their ability to bounce back highlighted the dedication and teamwork displayed by many spring athletes. Meanwhile, the arts brought students together through memorable performances and celebrations. Looking back on the final performance of Footloose, Shane Stuart ’26 reflected, “Closing night was awesome and somewhat sad, as I had to say goodbye, being a senior. The Senior Stars part was bittersweet and was like a last hurrah for us!” That mix of celebration and uncertainty was a feeling shared by many members of the Class of 2026 as they reached another major milestone: graduation. Valedictorian Jaden Cruz ’26 explained, “We were all graduating together, but at the same time, we’re all still teenagers and none of us really know exactly what life is going to look like yet.” As spring comes to an end these moments remind us that the best memories are often the ones that we create together.

8th Grade washington, D.c. Trip Monuments, Museums and Memories
R
ight before March break, the 8th-grade class took an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., where history came to life beyond the classroom. Throughout the trip, students explored famous monuments, visited museums, and experienced firsthand many of the places they had studied throughout the year. “I learned a lot about U.S. history and government, and seeing the monuments in person made it feel more real and meaningful,” explained Molly Blaney ’30. The lasting impact gave students a new appreciation for what they’ve learned in school. Many students found significant moments during the trip, while others pointed to standout experiences, especially visits to Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, that left a strong impression. Being selected for this ceremony was a powerful event for those involved. “It felt great to be picked to be part of the wreath-laying ceremony. The best part was getting to tell my parents and family… It felt great to be able to tell them that I was chosen,” added Noah Polonski ’30. Along with these meaningful moments, students also enjoyed bonding with friends, especially during the 8th-grade dance. The trip brought everyone closer together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Spring Concert
The Final Note
H
eld at the Rogers Center at Merrimack College, the Spring Concert showcased a year of effort from our choir. As Julia Coelho ’27 explained, “One thing that goes on behind the scenes that most people don’t know about is the amount of time we put into the concerts. During the weeks before the concert, we rehearse at least three times a week, and our rehearsals can go from about an hour and a half to three hours long.” All the hard work clearly paid off, as the audience was mesmerized by the voices and artistry of the choir. This concert also marked the year coming to close, and with that, one of the last times the Class of 2026 would be performing. “I was excited to see the Senior surprise that the underclassmen put together: a slideshow of pictures set to a handbell rendition of When You Wish Upon A Star,” Gianna Buscemi ’26 shared, showing how connected the choir is and the supportive environment fostered between grades. The show went spectacularly, and celebrated the talent and artistry of the Austin Prep Choir.

Footloose! Holding out for a Hero!
T
his April, the Austin Prep Drama Department put on another astounding performance. Based on the 1984 movie, Footloose follows Ren McCormack as he moves to the small town of Bomont. There, he meets Reverend Shaw Moore, a spiritual leader and informal mayor of the town who has outlawed public dancing after four party-goers tragically died in an accident on the way home, one of whom was his son. Through the power of dance and his indomitable big city spirit, Ren convinces the town, especially Reverend Moore, that they are stuck in the past with their grief. The musical concludes with a prom with the entire cast. Noah Rivera ’26, who played Reverend Shaw Moore, recalls his favorite memory: “One of my favorite memories was the Super Saturday rehearsal we had the weekend before the show. I was exhausted. But it allowed me to really lock down some of the pieces that weren’t up to par.” Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was this show; it took the cast months of long nights and individual preparation. Steven Reyes ’26, who played Ren McCormack, began preparing in December. “I would constantly read and reread the script so I could memorize all of my lines and the context around them… As for the dancing, I would look over the videos from rehearsals and run the dances in my room or in my basement until I got them right.” Here’s to every late night, every run-through, and every member of the cast and crew who made the magic happen.

Spring Dance Show Spring Into Motion
T
his year, the annual Spring Dance Show was held at the Collins Center in Andover, and the show was an immense success. Each performer shone brightly as they were up on stage throughout the night, and stunned the audience with their choreography. There was so much thought and care put into each aspect of the show from all of the performers. Matthew Smith ’26, shared, “I was so excited to put together my own solo pieces, from rhinestoning costumes to picking out music and props.” With a variety of dances, everyone’s creativity and stellar performances illuminated the theater and dazzled the crowd, making sure that the night was one to remember. As the evening came to a close, all of the hard work everyone, and especially seniors, put in for this production clearly paid off. Elena Klimashova ’26 expressed, “My favorite part of the spring show was taking the final bow with the other seniors,” marking one of many unforgettable moments that came from the night. Overall, the Spring Dance Show celebrated the talent, dedication, and passion of the performers of our school community, and left everyone with extraordinary memories. BASEBALL Beyond the Bases
T
his season, the Baseball team demonstrated dedication, resilience, and strong teamwork both on and off the field. Throughout the year, the players worked hard during practices and games, constantly pushing each other to improve and compete at a high level. The team created lasting memories while building a close bond that helped them succeed during challenging moments of the season. Whether it was intense games, long practices, bus rides, or team celebrations, every player contributed to the team’s success and positive atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights of the season came during an exciting home matchup against Dexter Southfield. Lucas Sarno ’27 reflected, “The highlight of my season was beating Dexter 5-0 at home and exploding for 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th.” That game showcased the team’s determination, energy, and ability to perform under pressure. More than anything, this season was about brotherhood. As Cameron Jaena ’26 explained, “We are constantly with each other whether it’s baseball or just hanging out. Spending all this time together makes us a true family.” The friendships and memories built throughout the season made the team stronger both on and off the field. This year’s team will be remembered for its hard work, competitive spirit, and the family bond that brought everyone together.

hrough determination and grit, the Austin Prep Softball team made this season one to remember. The theme of the season was building trust and drawing strength from one another, allowing the team to succeed. They played for each other and focused on having a play-by-play mentality. Catcher Brooke Bazylinski ’27 reflected, “This season we really focused on communication on and off the field and learned how keeping communication throughout the game keeps our game clean.” Captain Lucci Igoe ’26 shared, “The most exciting moment of the season was our thrilling 7-6 win against Milton Academy on Senior Night. The score was 5-1 in the top of the third inning and then we captured the lead 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth, and eventually came back with a final of 7-6.” While the team celebrated many achievements, the season was also marked by significant growth and development. Built on trust, communication, and resilience, this year’s team left a lasting mark on the Austin Prep softball program.

GIRLS LACROSSE Where Hard Work Meets the Field
T
he Girls Varsity Lacrosse team wrapped up another strong season by conquering the McCoy Cup for the second year in a row. The team finished with a winning record and showed steady improvement throughout the season, building momentum in key conference matchups. Their ability to stay connected on and off the field played a big role in their success, especially during close games. One of the season’s biggest individual accomplishments came from Gabbie McLaughlin ’27, who scored her 100th career goal during the McCoy Championship game, helping lead the team to its second consecutive McCoy Cup title. Reflecting on the season, McLaughlin shared, “My favorite memory was scoring the overtime winner against Pomfret.” Team chemistry was also a major theme throughout the season. Captain Mia Dahlman ’26 explained, “I think long bus rides and playing games together before our real game brought us closer together. We like to play hackysack and Waboba before games,” showing that the team was united both on and off the field. With strong leadership, milestone achievements, and back-to-back championships, the team closed the season by proving its talent, hard work, and love for the sport.

All Heart, All Season
T
his season for the Boys Lacrosse team was about more than wins and losses; it was about the camaraderie built through 6 a.m. practices, long bus rides, and a relentless will to improve. The squad’s defining moment came against Tilton, a comeback victory that united the roster and left a lasting mark on everyone who played in it. “The brotherhood our team has formed has been huge for our success,” said Landon Bentley ’26, and that bond showed everywhere–from hackysack sessions before practice to Duncan Vittands ’27’s pregame thank-yous before every face-off. Chase Kivlehan ’27 credited the coaching staff for elevating the team’s game, noting that, “Coach Gardner and the other coaches really helped improve my overall skill and IQ in the game of lacrosse.” Whether it was blasting music on the bus to away games or grinding through early morning conditioning, this team found its identity in the details. Focused, fun-loving, and fiercely together, they left it all out there for a season to remember.

GIRLS OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
Together to the Finish
T
he Austin Prep Girls Outdoor Track & Field team had a memorable season defined by hard work, determination, and the strong connections formed between teammates. From long practices to competitive meets, the team constantly pushed one another to improve while creating a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether athletes were competing on the track or in field events, the team stayed united throughout the season and celebrated each other’s successes along the way. For Gabby DeNardo ’27, the highlight of the season was competing at the NEPSAC Division 2 Championships, where she medaled in both shot put and discus after weeks of dedication and hard work. DeNardo stated, “Our team always believes in each other, they always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.” That support helped create a positive atmosphere where athletes could succeed both individually and as a team. This led to new school records set by DeNardo in the Shot Put, Olivia Neal ’27 in Long Jump, and Sofiya Radochia ’26 in the Triple Jump. Beyond competition, the team grew closer through conversations during practice, cheering each other on at meets, and traditions like saying a prayer and linking pinkies together before races for good luck. Ava Sherry ’27 said, “Bonding with new and current teammates at practices and meets,” was one of the highlights of her season. In the end, the season will be remembered not only for athletic accomplishments, but also for the friendships, traditions, and team spirit that brought everyone together.

T
his year’s Boys Outdoor Track & Field season was about more than just times and distances. The team spent many weeks pushing each other through tough practices, celebrating personal records, and creating memories together along the way. From pre-meet conversations to bus rides home after meets, the season helped bring the team closer together. One of the biggest moments of the season for Charlie Hickey ’27 was at the home meet, where he earned a personal record in the long jump, even in bad weather conditions. “What helped me be the most successful this year was my teammates doing better themselves, which drove me to work harder and improve,” he said. Marcus Villarroel ’26 remembered racing the 800m at Phillips Exeter for the first time since freshman year as one of the biggest moments of his season. Although he was nervous before the race, he was proud of his performance and credited the team’s supportive atmosphere for helping him succeed. “When someone is performing well on the team, it tends to pull the others to do the same,” Villarroel said. Throughout the season, the athletes supported each other, competed together, and built friendships that made the team stronger both on and off the track.

T
he Girls Tennis team this year had an incredible season with a lot of growth. Celia Sensale ’27 reflected on how the team helped each other improve, “I think that the team’s encouragement and willingness to push, yet help one another helped us be the most successful. Whether it was in practice or matches, someone was always cheering you on and helping you improve as an athlete and person.” The team’s spirit and camaraderie shone throughout the whole season, as everyone worked to advance their skills and work on their volleys, serves and ball placement. However, the team also grew close together through different bonding moments. As Isabelle DiGiammarino ’28 shared, “Our favorite tradition is saying a prayer before to get ourselves in the right head space.” This bonding strengthened the team from the inside out, allowing them to elevate their game, and the team’s support for each other made each and every player even stronger.

F
rom the first serve of the season to the final rally, the Boys Tennis team showed determination and strong teamwork. Throughout the season, every player pushed each other to improve during both practices and matches, helping one another on and off the court. Even while facing difficult opponents, the team continued to compete with energy. Shane Miller ’26 explained how important the team’s bond became during the season, “Our chemistry as a team really pushed me to dig every game. I knew that my team had my back.” The trust they built helped motivate each player to stay focused and to keep fighting, especially during close matches. Jonathan Malley ’27 also shared how the team became more successful, “The overall dedication and effort that goes into every practice. The team chemistry is off the charts, and when we use that coupled with our hard work we see success.” Those experiences not only helped them win but also allowed for their friendships to grow. By the end of the spring season, the team created more than just wins. Through their hard work and teamwork, they built core memories together and a season to remember.

Thank You for the Music
P
rom was a night to remember, as this year’s Mamma Mia! theme brought excitement, energy, and unforgettable memories. Planning a prom has many steps and important decisions along the way. School-wide Vice President Mikey Brosnan ’26 explained, “Prom planning is a complete team effort, from Student Council, to faculty and staff, to the people at Andover. It could not be done without the help from each and every person, I can speak for us all saying how grateful we are for them.” The night began at Austin Prep with Promenade, where everyone showcased their outfits to friends and family and took photos before heading to Andover Country Club for the remainder of the evening. Once there, the dance floor was packed and full of energy as people danced, sang along to songs, and enjoyed being together. Ali Joyner ’26 reflected, “The most memorable part of Prom for me was getting to spend the night with my friends, taking pictures and dancing.” The night was filled with unforgettable moments that students will carry with them for the rest of their lives. As the music faded and the night came to an end, students left with lasting memories of one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Something We Accomplished Together
T
Above: The homily is delivered by Most Reverend Cristiano Barbosa, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston.
he Class of 2026 gathered in Meelia Hall for a baccalaureate and graduation ceremony that proved it was never really about the setting, but about the people and the memories they created together. Being indoors brought everyone a little closer, creating an atmosphere that felt connected, energetic, and full of emotion. The ceremony also highlighted the courage it takes to stand before your peers and speak. Valedictorian Jaden Cruz admitted, “public speaking has never come naturally to me,” but with encouragement from his classmates, he was able to turn nerves into something meaningful. He reflected, “Eventually, I realized the speech didn’t need to have all the answers. Graduation is already emotional because everyone is reflecting on the memories, friendships, and moments that shaped them. I wanted the speech to capture that shared feeling more than anything else.” While the ceremony itself was meaningful, many students found that some of the most memorable moments came afterward. As Salutatorian Steven Reyes shared, “We all had accomplished something together. After getting back to the [main] building, we stayed for a while longer, taking pictures with each other and with teachers, and saying our final goodbyes.” That sense of accomplishment lingered as students spent those last moments together as a class. In the end, graduation was a celebration of far more than academic achievement. It was about friendships, challenges, and the moments that shaped them, all coming together in one unforgettable day and bringing their journey to a meaningful close.

Mission & Inclusion
Faith in Action for Others
T
his year, Campus Ministry offered students meaningful opportunities to grow in faith, reflect on their values, and serve others in ways that made a difference. The retreat experience, held on and off campus, gave students a chance to step away from their daily routines and focus on building stronger connections with each other and God. In this peaceful setting, students were able to pray, reflect, and form deeper bonds that stayed with them long after returning to school. Throughout the year, inspiring guest speakers helped shape the school’s understanding of service and leadership. Michael Gormon’s visit highlighted the importance of putting faith into action, reminding students that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. Crystal Kuyendall encouraged students to embrace leadership and use their voices to create positive change in their communities. Events such as the TMF Dinner brought everyone together in a spirit of generosity and gratitude, while the National Center for Race Amity Conference in Boston allowed students to engage in meaningful discussions about unity, respect, and inclusion. Magdalena Tenreiro ’27 shared, “The impact that I have made through service is both physical and non-physical. I have been able to clothe those who needed it and help feed those who were hungry. I have also created relationships with people who lack a support system and given them a familiar face to see each week, which can be vital for someone who is struggling.” Campus Ministry helps guide students toward becoming more compassionate and thoughtful through service-driven initiatives.

Small Acts, Big Impacts
A
t Austin Prep, service is an important part of building character, compassion, and responsibility within the school community. Through different service opportunities, students are given the chance to help others in meaningful ways and learn the value of giving back. One of the most impactful experiences is participating in community food drives where students help prepare and distribute meals to families in need, especially during holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. These experiences allow students to see firsthand how their actions can make a real difference in someone else’s life. By working together, students develop teamwork, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for what they have. Service at Austin Prep is not just about completing hours, but about growing as a person and understanding the importance of helping others without expecting anything in return. As Caroline Forlizzi ’27 shared, “The impact I had was helping many people who aren’t able to have these kinds of Easter dinners. I am able to help out all of these families and provide them the food they need for a nice Easter.” Service as simple as putting food into baskets, and knowing it will brighten someone’s holiday shows how even simple acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact on others.

Beyond the Classroom
E
ach week, students meet during the school day to take part in different clubs. These clubs give students a chance to try new things, meet new people and get involved in the community outside of classes, arts, and sports. Angela Nolan ’27, who is a member of Interact Club, said she joined that club because, “I wanted to help others outside of the Austin Prep community.” Nolan explained, “Service is a great way to share one’s talents and abilities with less fortunate communities.” Moreover, club week helps students express themselves in different ways. Mia Dahlman ’26 shared, “I love how inclusive and different each club is, every meeting is different and has fun handson activities which gives us students an opportunity to pursue other passions at school and get a mental reset for the day.” Overall, the club program at Austin Prep gives students a valuable opportunity to explore new interests, connect with classmates, and build a stronger sense of community beyond the classroom.

Spirit week
Big Spirit, Bigger Impact
T
hree times a year, the Austin Prep community comes together for Spirit Week. Students donate $20 the week before to participate, with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, our school collectively raised an incredible amount of over $43,000. Throughout the week, students take part in themed dressup days and attend a Senior vs. Faculty sports game. This is the highlight of Spirit Week, and it brings the entire school together. School-wide Vice President Mikey Brosnan ’26 shared, “The pep rally themes were really a team effort. People from all different grades contributed, whether it was in the decision or coming up with ideas. It was a great way to put our minds together and come up with great themes.” He continued, “My favorite theme was either Town Day or Jersey Day, because people got to represent their hometowns or an organization that was important to them.” This builds excitement for the final event: the pep rally. The gym, decorated by each grade’s student government, is filled with school spirit as each grade wears its assigned color: green for middle school; pink for freshmen; red, white, and blue for sophomores; white for juniors; and black for seniors. During the pep rally, each sports team gets a chance to show off their best moves in front of the school, along with games organized by the student government. It’s more than just a tradition at Austin, Spirit Week highlights the values that define our community: Veritas, Unitas, Caritas.
