Austin Prep Fund Supports The Austin Prep Fund is the primary way for alumni, parents, and friends to support the School and directly impact a student’s current Austin Prep experience. Funds are put to immediate use, allowing the School to offset costs in real-time and invest in priorities that otherwise would not be possible.

MIDDLE SCHOOL METROPOLIS Launched in 2025, this new course was innovative, first of its kind, and utilized experiential learning in urban design principles and community building using Lego sets.

Austin prep faculty tailored the curriculum and inspired students to grapple with real-world urban planning as they constructed buildings and laid out their city.

NOVEL PHYSICS CURRICULUM & STEM Under the leadership of STEM Innovation Specialist Amy Foley and Science Faculty Francesco Donati, Austin Prep partnered with Harvard Medical School to implement a novel physics curriculum using hands-on medical robotics.

All students in the Class of 2029 participated in the 8th Grade Science Fair. This capstone experience allowed the students to share and showcase their research with family, faculty, and experts drawn from various science fields.

The quality of the student projects was exceptional and mirrored those found at a professional conference.

DEPARTMENT CHAIRS AT BOSTON COLLEGE All Department Chairs engaged in professional development at the Roche Center for Catholic Education at Boston College.

FACULTY SUMMER SABBATICALS Mr. Eric Smith spent over a week in Rome following in the footsteps of St. Augustine and Pope Leo XIV. He visited numerous churches, particularly those associated with the Augustinian Order, and spent a day in Florence and visited the Colosseum, focusing on their connection to Church history. Ms. Katie Clark visited New York City for a weeklong Broadway intensive aimed at learning ways to enhance Austin Prep drama classes and productions.

CAMPUS FACILITIES Austin Prep launched its podcast studio near the end of the 2024-2025 academic year. It includes state-of-the-art equipment and the School’s official podcast, The Restless Journey, was released. The Restless Journey will interview members of the AP community to share their insights on a variety of topics that reflect on who we are today and where the Austin Prep Journey will lead us tomorrow.
