The Class of 2008 dedicates this yearbook to Mr. Mayo because of his dedication to us. He is not only an influence to us academically, but he is also active in the Austin community outside the classroom. From coaching the Golf team, to planning both the eighth grade and junior class trips to Washington, D.C. and New York City, Mr. Mayo’s work and devotion to the students of Austin often goes unrecognized. In the classroom, he is a well respected history teacher, and he always has his door open for students to come in and hang out during Activity Period. We want to thank Mr. Mayo for his commitment to us, by dedicating this yearbook to him.
