The Alpha Upsilon chapter of Phi Gamma Delta continued its pursuit of excellence in all aspects of college life. Striving to persevere Ihe idealsand beliefs thathavemadethemstrongthroughoutthe years, theylednotonlyinPhiGammaDelta, but throughoutthecampusandcommunity.
Brothers of Phi Gamma Delta can be found in numerousleadershippositions including SGA Treasurer. Freshman Forum. Plainsmen,Spades,MortarBoard.andmany other campus honorories and organizations. Phi Gam has earned Ihe reputation for the most involved fralernily on campus. Theyhavealso devoted Iheir time to the academic, philanthropic. and social aspectsofcollege life.
Consecutively placed in the top threeforgradesthroughouttheyears. they haveshowntheirdedicationtoscholastics. Beyond the classroom, brothers also took great pride in their social activities. They hadmanysocialsranging from HoeDown, Crawfish Boil. Cinco de Mayo, Happy BirthdayHawaii. and thereknownFijiIsland in the spring. From socials. bond parties, andformals. thebrothersfoundmanyways to enjoy thesocial aspectsofcollege life
Athletics played a major role in fraternitylifewithPhiGammaDeltawinning the All-Sports trophylostyear. The brothers consistently won numerous intramural championships. including several campus championshipsthispast season.
The brothers also maintained the highest friendship with one another. They possesseda strengthwhichstemmed from theirdiversitythatbondedthemtogetherin inseparablebrotherhood. Thisbrotherhood washeldinthehighestregardsbyeachand everymemberofPhiGammaDelta. All of thequalitiesofPhiGammaDeltacouldalso be found in their community involvement from Project Uplift to coaching and sponsoring a youth softball team. Their leadership in many church and civic organizations also showed their determination to uphold the beliefs and valuestheywere foundedupon.
