The Alpha Upsilon chapter of Phi Gamma Delta continued its pursuit of excellence in all aspects of college life Striving to preserve the ideals and beliefs that have made them strong throughout the years, they led notonly in Phi Gamma Delta, but throughout thecampus and community
Brothers of Phi Gamma Delta could be found in numerous leadership positions on campus inciudingSCA president, rFe, War EagleGirlsand Plainsmen,Spade, Mortar Board and many other campus honorariesand organizations. Havingearned the reputation for the most involved fraternity on campus, they also devoted their time to the academic, philanthropic'and social aspects of college life.
Consistently placed in the top three for grades throughout the years, they showed their dedication to scholastics. Beyond the classroom, brothers also took great pride in their social activities. They had many socials ranging from the Caveman social, Hoe Down and Crawfish Boil to the renowned FIJI Island in the spring. From socials, band parties and formals, brothers found many ways to enjoy the social aspect of college life.
Athletics played a major role in fra ternity life with the fraternity winning the All Sports Trophy for the second consecutive year and claiming numerous intramural championships.
The brothers maintained the highest friendships with one another. They possessed a strength which stemmed from their diversity and bonded them together in inseparable brotherhood. This brotherhood was held in the highestof regardsby each and every member of Phi Gamma Delta.
All of the qualities of Phi Gamma Delta could also be found in their community involvement from Project Uplift to coaching and sponsoringa T-ball team.Their leadership in many church and civic organizations also showed their determination to upholding the beliefs and values they were founded upon.
