The Alpha Upsilon Chapler of Phi Gamma Delta continued its pu rsuit of excellence throughout all aspects of college life. The brothers \verc proud to represent the ideals of their chapler as they soughllo lead not only in Phi Gamma Delta, but also on campus. Phi Gamma Delta had brothers thai were involved in lFC SCA, Plainsmen, Spade, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa and many other organizations.
The fraternity had an unyielding commitment to academics Fiji took first place in grades for the majority of the decade.
Beyond campus organizations and the classroolll, the brothers also took great pride in the social aspect of their fraternity They had many socials ranging from the Caveman social and Crawfish Broil, to the illustrious Fiji Island. They also had Illany band parties and other fun events scheduled throughout the year.
The brothers maintained the highest friendships with one another. They possessed a strength which stemmed from their diversity and bonded them together in inseparable brotherhood. This brotherhood was held in the highest of regards by each and every member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
In recognition of their leadership on campus, in the classroom and in athletics, Phi Gamma Delta was awarded with the James E. Martin Award for the most outstanding fraternity on campus.
