With each Unity Home project, the goal is to provide clients with a selection of pre-designed floor plans and 3D models in attempt to keep design and fabrication costs down. However, when clients wish to have a more personalized home, it is also the aim to have a library of pre-designed components that are able to be placed into plan or a 3D model. Essentially, the arrangement of rooms may be different in a personalized design, but the rooms and parts that make up the whole house have already been vetted.

The project below explains how the house is designed from smaller components. Bathrooms, kitchens, screen porches, and connectors all have their own library of different options which include varying footprint, plans, and arrangements. These are able to fit the versatile needs of each client. This approach in a design-build firm keeps fabrication and construction predictable making for more efficient designs and performance within a home.

Floor & Electrical Plans: This project utilizes the Värm platform Unity Homes offers. Outside of the main volume, the add-on components include a mud room, master bump connector, garage, screen porch, and deck.

Bath 2 The bathroom used in this plan had already been designed prior to this project in a separate library. Each bathroom in this library includes already dimensioned and correct elevations that can be included in construction documents.

Screen Porch The screen porch in the 3D model had been taken from a 3D library where the assembly and construction had already been engineered.

Kitchen Each of the five platforms Unity Homes offers have pre-designed kitchen layouts and electrical plans. These layouts comply with the standard window placement of each platform as well as the IRC.
