BTG Eddisons Property Auctions is set to mark a significant milestone in its continued expansion with a major live auction showcase at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane Stadium on 24th June, coinciding with the launch of its first ever two-day monthly live stream auction format.
The event will bring together invited guests for a behindthe-scenes look at how a large-scale, digital-first property auction operates in practice. Attendees will be able to experience the pace, structure and delivery of an online live stream auction while also connecting with investors, clients and industry professionals from across the UK.
The showcase will be led from the rostrum by Auctioneer Adrian Little, alongside Lucy Crapper, who recently joined the BTG Eddisons Property Auctions team earlier this month. Together, they will conduct bidding throughout the day, demonstrating the energy and efficiency of the modern auction environment.
From June, BTG Eddisons Property Auctions will formally transition to a new monthly two-day live stream auction format. Scaling up its established model in response to growing demand from both buyers and sellers and enabling an increased volume of lots to be brought to market nationwide.
The change represents a notable operational step forward for the business, which currently handles around 400 residential, commercial, land and development lots each month across the UK.
Guests attending the showcase will be able to experience the auction in person, while the sale itself will be live streamed to a national audience. Bidding will take place remotely via the internet, as well as by proxy, telephone, and in the auction room, reflecting the multi-channel approach that underpins the firm’s model.
Andrew Parker, Partner and Auctioneer at BTG Eddisons Property Auctions, said: “This event is an

opportunity to showcase our auctions and give clients and contacts genuine insight into how a major modern property auction business operates.”
“The move to a two-day monthly live stream auction format reflects continued growth in demand from both buyers and sellers, as well as the increasing scale of our operation nationally.”
“Our live stream model continues as normal, with bidding taking place remotely across a national audience of buyers, but hosting this event allows guests to experience first-hand the scale, pace and expertise involved in a large live auction.”
BTG Eddisons Property Auctions was formed through the integration of regional brands Pugh, SDL Property Auctions, Mark Jenkinson and Network Auctions, creating the UK’s second largest property auction business by volume of lots.

There’s a quiet but significant shift happening across construction. When equipment is needed, more firms are bypassing traditional dealerships and turning to plant and machinery auctions instead.
What once felt like an alternative route has become a mainstream procurement strategy, driven by cost pressure, speed and a more flexible way of thinking about assets.
New construction equipment carries a significant price tag and for many businesses the economics are increasingly difficult to justify. Excavators, dumpers, loaders and cranes all require major investment, often alongside long lead times that can delay projects.
Auctions offer a faster, more affordable route to getting machinery on site, helping firms stay operational without tying up large amounts of capital.
One of the key advantages is choice. Auction catalogues bring together everything from near-new machinery to well-used, work-ready equipment in a single marketplace.
This gives buyers the ability to source exactly what they need for specific projects, rather than committing to new machines or paying for features they may not use.
For many contractors, equipment is increasingly viewed as something to be used within a project cycle rather than held long-term. Machinery is bought, deployed and often resold once the work is complete. This approach helps keep capital moving and reduces the financial burden of idle assets sitting in depots.
Sustainability is becoming part of the decision
There is also a growing environmental consideration.

Extending the life of existing machinery reduces waste and lessens the demand for new manufacturing, which carries a significant carbon footprint.
In this way, auctions are quietly aligning with wider sustainability goals across the sector.
When machinery is needed quickly, timing is critical. Auctions allow firms to acquire and deploy equipment in days rather than waiting weeks or months for new stock.
With digital bidding now standard, companies can secure assets quickly from anywhere, keeping projects moving without disruption.
More than a trend, this reflects a broader change in how construction firms think about equipment. Ownership is becoming more fluid, with machinery moving through cycles of use, resale and redeployment.
In that cycle, auctions are no longer a side option, but a central part of how the industry sources and manages plant.
Auction News helps you find construction auctions across the UK, both online and on site, so you can find, compare and bid with confidence.
