Fractals:

Infinite Movement Conceived and Directed by

Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey Featuring the Auburn University Dance Ensemble

Directors’ Note

Fractals: a kind of pattern that we observe often in nature, the arts, and architecture. Fractal patterns can also be found when light scatters from arrays of cylindrical or spherical mirrors.

Choreography includes moving shapes and patterns, sculpting through space. The architecture of each dance presents an array of these shapes and patterns through the body and out into the space that is the performance stage. We hope you enjoy the evening of how choreographers and lighting designer play and explore through this concept of fractals. Special thanks to all the dancers for sharing their talent and willingness to participate in the process of dance making, creatively and collaboratively. — Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey

Auburn University Theatre and Dance gratefully acknowledges support for this production from the Office of the Provost of Auburn University.
