Based on a review of AUA’s curriculum by UK’s General Medical Council (GMC), any doctor awarded a primary medical qualification from AUA will be able to apply to sit the PLAB test and for GMC registration without having their qualification individually assessed.

USMLE PASS RATE The USMLE is one of the most important exams taken by medical students. These figures are for students' first-time pass rates on the exam, and were calculated by averaging USMLE data from 2019, 2020 and 2021.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? The U.S. Medical Licensing Exams are necessary to qualify for clerkships, residency and licensure.

RESIDENCY PLACEMENTS AND SPECIALTIES The “Match” is a highly competitive process that matches fourth-year medical students and graduates with residency programs. AUA students and graduates have earned prestigious residencies and fellowships at the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Brown University, Yale New Haven Hospital and more.

All your core rotations in one convenient location. Qualified students can complete their core and elective rotations at sites affiliated with Florida International University (FIU)’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID AUA is approved to participate in the U.S. Federal Direct Loan Program (also referred to as Title IV). Eligible Canadian students may qualify for Canadian federal loans, provincial loans or grants. AUA offers qualified students a variety of scholarship opportunities that reward academic excellence and community and volunteer service.
