Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) are proud to present their 2017 season of works and let you know a bit more about the company.
ATYP is the national youth theatre company. We exist to connect young people with the professional theatre industry locally, regionally and nationally. It’s the principle on which the company was founded in 1963. It’s what drives us today.
Among our season of plays there are three brand new Australian works, Intersection, Dignity of Risk and Wonder Fly. We also present an award winning script by Qld writer Daniel Evans, as we stage his pitch-black comedy Oedipus Doesn’t Live Here Anymore directed by ATYP Artistic Director Fraser Corfield. This show is a mad riot of blood and laughter as classic Greek mythology meets Australian suburbia.
Add to this our sensational Cameo season and the brand new HomeRoom Series and you have a year of theatre that will please all theatre lovers.
