IT’S TIME TO BE IN THE ROOM AGAIN.

To feel that collective breath, the shared silence, the spontaneous applause that erupts when something extraordinary happens onstage. Thank you for being here tonight— thank you for choosing to show up, to engage, and to be part of something live.

Creating moments of awe—like the one you’re about to experience tonight—is what makes the TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND season so unique. It’s international. It’s deeply curated. It’s intentionally designed to connect across cultures, communities, and generations.

These artists speak through movement. And while it can be hard to put into words, what they create is undeniable when you’re in the room. Diverse. Global. Powerful. Surprising. Moving. That’s the magic of TITAS.

Again, nothing replaces the live experience.

We’re proud to contribute to the international profile of Dallas. We celebrate our adventurous, curious, and passionate audiences. And we recognize the immense value that cultural exchange and the arts bring to our communities. This is the heart of TITAS—it’s how we help shape and elevate the cultural landscape of North Texas.

And every season, new audience members tell us the same thing: "I’m overwhelmed—I had no idea. This was not what I expected."

That reaction? It never gets old. It’s Golden.

After more than four decades of presenting groundbreaking dance, we know the power of what happens when world-class artists meet open-hearted audiences.

And the 2025/26 season will not disappoint.

Ten extraordinary companies from the U.S., Spain, Canada, Taiwan, and France— including three making their Texas or U.S. debut right here in Dallas. Breathtaking artistry, thrilling athleticism, unforgettable performances. This is a season you won’t want to miss.

So thank you.

Thank you for being part of another remarkable year. Thank you for saying yes to live performance. Thank you for supporting TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND and the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

What we do together truly makes a difference.

“Gravitation is one of the four fundamental forces that govern the universe. It refers to the force which means two masses are attracted to one another.

It is invisible, intangible, essential. But it is the force which creates the attraction that we call weight.

For years, these issues of weight, space, speed and mass have intuitively run through my choreographic experiments.

My day-to-day work with the dancers leads me to experiment with forms whose basic components revolve around this question, which is both abstract and terribly concrete.

Today, according to a principle of alternation between pieces based on pure research and more narrative ballets, I expect this set of problems involving gravity to open up new writing spaces for me.”

Angelin Preljocaj founded the company in 1985 in Champigny-sur-Marne (Paris region), Ballet Preljocaj is now settled in Aix-en-Provence since 1996.

Angelin Preljocaj has created 62 choreographic works, ranging from solo to larger formations. He collaborates regularly with other artists in various fields such as music (Goran Vejvoda, Air, Laurent Garnier, Granular Synthesis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Thomas Bangalter), visual arts (Claude Lévêque, Subodh Gupta, Adel Abdessemed), design (Constance Guisset), fashion (Jean Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaïa, Igor Chapurin), drawing (Enki Bilal), literature (Pascal Quignard, Éric Reinhardt, Laurent Mauvignier), animation movies (Boris Labbé)...

His creations have been restaged by numerous other repertory companies, from which he also receives requests to create new pieces. This has been the case with La Scala in Milan and the New York City Ballet, the Staatsoper in Berlin, and the Paris Opera Ballet. He has received numerous awards (Benois de la danse, Bessie Award, Victoires de la musique, Globe de Cristal. He has also directed and collaborated on several films of his own choreographic work.

His first full-length feature film co-directed with Valérie Muller, Polina, danser sa vie, came out in cinemas November 2016. In April 2019 he was appointed to the Academy of Fine Arts in the new «choreography» section.

In the last few years, he created his version of Swan Lake (2020), then Deleuze/Hendrix (2021). He choreographed and directed Lully’s opera Atys for the Grand Théâtre de Genève (2022). He imagined a short choreography for the Danse Europe! application. For Dior, he created the choreography and the film Roman Night with the dancers of the Rome Opera Ballet (2023). He also participated in the television series Irma Vep by Olivier Assayas, as an actor and choreographer. He then created Mythologies with original music by ex-Daft Punk Thomas Bangalter at the

Opéra National de Bordeaux (2022). In 2023, he created Birthday Party for senior performers on a commission from Aterballetto, and Torpeur at Festival Montpellier danse. In 2024, he creates Requiem(s) at Grand Théâtre de Provence.

Since October 2006, the Ballet Preljocaj is settled at the Pavillon Noir, designed by the architect Rudy Ricciotti in Aix-en-Provence. The Pavillon Noir is the first production centre built for dance, where artists will be able to go through the entire creative process, from workshops and rehearsals to staging and performance. Performances are programmed all year round, Angelin Preljocaj’s creations and also invited companies, as well as local actions in Aix-en-Provence and neighbouring communities, in order to share its passion for dance with a broader public: video-dance, public rehearsals, contemporary-dance classes and workshops... all means of viewing and understanding dance from different perspectives.

Since 2015, Ballet Preljocaj has also been involved in helping young dancers enter the professional world through Ballet Preljocaj Junior. Each year, six to twelve dancers aged 18 to 25 from partner higher education institutions join the CCN for 11 months, performing pieces from the repertoire, touring with Ballet Preljocaj, and creating their own works.

The Ballet is now composed of 30 permanent dancers and performs about 120 dates per year on tour, in France and abroad.
