Since 1985 Pegasus Theatre has existed to bring DFW audiences new and original comedies. Our mission is to inspire and cultivate North Texas artists and entertain, enlighten and engage our community. Pegasus is best known for its series of comedy-murder mysteries presented in Living Black & White ® The technique was developed atPegasus Theatre which through the use of trade-secret makeup, special lighting, meticulous costuming and set creation, combined with stylized acting creates the illusion that the audence is watching—not just a play—but a 1930’s-40’s blackand-white movie brought to life on stage!
Scott Nixon (Harry Hunsacker) Scott has been with Pegasus Theatre for nearly 15 years. Other favorite roles/productions include Tito/ Lend Me A Tenor , Archibald/ The Secret Garden, and Don/ Rounding Third among others. Thanks to Kurt & Barb for their love and support. Ben Bryant (Nigel Grouse) Ben has played Nigel since 2010. Recent work includes Othello for Shakespeare Dallas, The Jim Experiment at Pocket Sandwich Theatre, and ADR roles with Crunchyroll, Inc. Jake Lawrence Geary (Inspector MacFoster) has a Theater BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jake has acted in the greater New York area. Now marking himself in Dallas, his recent credits include PMP’s Taming of the Shrew (Gremio), Theater Frisco’s 39 Steps (Clown), Pegasus’ Murder at the Old Café (Buzz Harmon).
Jon Garrard (MacTavish Wyllie) is excited to be back with Pegasus Theatre last seen in their Color of Death! In Radiovizion. Past Elevator Projects include Slide By (directed by Jake Nice) and Watering Hole Collective’s I Am An Island. He thanks his family and friends, the pets at home Shadeaux, Maggie, and Hank, and his beautiful wife Caitlin for all their love and support.
David Helms (Seamus Hunniball) is making his second appearance in Pegasus Theatre’s Living Black & White®. His first appearance was in Dimension of Death as Johnson. David was most recently seen on stage as Lane/Merriman in The Importance of Being Earnest with Shakespeare Dallas. David has worked with various theatres throughout DFW.
Sean Massey (Simon Barclay) is honored to be working with Pegasus Theatre again. He is excited to work with this immensely talented cast. Thanks to Kurt and Barb and everyone involved. I hope we do this again.

Elisa Danielle James (Mrs. Fiona Blair) can’t believe her luck and is bloody bursting to be in her first Black & White! Recent roles include Lady Macbeth (Omen, SheDFW Festival) and Ilona (She Loves Me, Theatre Frisco). Many thanks to her family, her two doofy fur kids, and a very dashing fiancée who supports her endlessly.
Lauren Ashley Hearn (Maise MacGregor) is elated & humbled to be part of her first LB&W show. Previously, she was seen in Women Playing Hamlet with Pegasus as well as numerous shows with Pocket Sandwich Theatre. Lauren would like to thank everyone for this amazing experience; and her family & friends for their unending love & support.
Rowan Gilvie (Effie Stewart) proudly returns to the Pegasus Theatre stage, having performed, designed, and more across DFW and the southwest. Favorite recent credits: Penelope u/s (Penelope); Scotty/swing/HMU (Khan!!! The Musical!); Guideau (The Witch and The Beast - Crunchyroll). Gratitude for my Pegasus family, here and beyond. Robin Liesenfelt (Lady Fentwhistle) has dreamed of acting in a B & W since their inception and is ecstatic to return to the stage with Pegasus after an eight-year hiatus from performing. She recently retired from teaching after 20 years with Plano ISD and is overjoyed to return to her happy place-the theatre. Robin is grateful to her husband and son for their love and support.
Madeleine Norton (Sophie Campbell) is overjoyed to make her Pegasus debut! Recent credits: Theatre Three’s Debbie Does Dallas, Shakespeare Dallas’ School Tour, Dallas Children’s Theater’s Magician’s Nephew , Lyric Stage’s Sweeney Todd . Kellie Monahan-McElroy (Understudy) is excited to return to Pegasus Theatre. She was previously seen with Pegasus as an understudy for Death Express! and as Tracy in their Radiovizion™ of Mind Over Murder! She would like to thank her wife for being her inspiration.
Kelly Moore Clarkson (Understudy) After seeing their productions over the years, Kelly is excited to be a part of Pegasus Theatre’s famous Black and White mysteries. She last worked with Pegasus in their 2024 Festival of Independent Theatre play An Evening in Paris. She is grateful to the amazing cast and crew who make magic happen.
Jeff Garlish (Understudy) is an actor, improviser, and voice actor who has performed in the DFW area for over 10 years. He currently teaches classes and performs improv at Dallas Comedy Club where you can find him performing with the main stage troupe ‘Primetime Improv.’ Jeff enjoys reading, playing videogames, and spending time with his dog.
Adam Kullman (Understudy) is thrilled to make his Pegasus debut. He is a theatre teacher, actor, and stage combat choreographer. Favorite past roles include Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby (Mainstage Irving), Macbeth in Macbeth (Theatre Off the Square), and Dr. Cristow in The Hollow (Stolen Shakespeare Guild).
Jake Shanahan (Understudy) This is Jake’s second Black and White show with Pegasus Theatre. He recently played Frederick in Noises Off! at Mainstage Irving and appears in theatre throughout DFW. Past Pegasus roles include P.B. Caldicott in Death Express! and the Radiovision Announcer. Jake thanks Becki McDonald and Barb and Kurt for this opportunity.
Kurt Kleinmann (Artistic Director, Playwright) is the founder of Pegasus Theatre. Mr. Kleinmann is a member of The Dramatists Guild and Actors’ Equity Association . He is the author of numerous plays, including all 23 scripts in the Harry Hunsacker/Living Black & White series. This one is for John.
Rebecca (Becki) Mcdonald (Director/Sound Design) holds a BA in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MA in Drama (Directing) from Texas Woman’s University. She is also an alumna of Collin College Theatre. Selected recent directing credits include An Evening with Penis (Pegasus Theatre), The Sum of Us Banned Book Festival and The Tragedy of Othello (Bishop Arts Theatre), and Big Scary Animals (Theatre Three).
Barbara Weinberger (Executive Director) Ms. Weinberger has been a producer, problem-solver, and public speaker with Pegasus Theatre for thirty-nine years. She is also editor and partner to her husband, Kurt Kleinmann, and looks forward to more theatrical adventures together
Bobby Selah (Stage Manager) has worked with Pegasus Theatre off and on for 20 years. He is excited to be stage managing his first Living Black and White show. Other theatres include WingSpan Theatre Co, WaterTower Theatre, Lyric Stage, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, and many others.
Alex Turner (Assistant Stage Manager) Alex is so excited to be working on this show! He is happy to be here and to work with these wonderful people!
D. Aidan Wright (Technical Director and Co-Set Designer) has designed for Pegasus Theatre before (Big Mouth Thunder Thighs in 2024, and Hate Mail in 2022), but this is his first time working on a Black & White. Other designs include: Emma, Harvey, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Something Rotten (Stolen Shakespeare Guild); Alice’s Adventures Under Ground (Dallas College Mountain View); and Romeo and Juliet (Plague Mask Players).
Michael B. Moore (Wig Design) returns to Pegasus having wig designed The Cuban and The Redhead in a previous season. Michael has been a wig designer for multiple theaters across DFW, with Uptown Players being his home theater. Thank you to everyone involved with Pegasus and MacMurder! for this opportunity.
Jamie Milligan (Lighting Designer) is a DFW-based lighting designer for live events including theatre, dance, and opera. Recent credits include: The Tragedy of Carmen (Tulsa Opera), Welcome Mat 2 - People 0 (Artstillery Dallas), The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (Circle Theatre), and Natural Shocks (Echo Theatre). He received his BA in Theatrical Design from University of North Texas.
Leslie Patrick (Makeup Designer) has done too many Living Black & White® productions with Pegasus Theatre to name (and they are all her favorite).
Leslie has also worked with Echo Theatre, Circle Theatre, Theatre Three, Audacity Productions, and Uptown Players. Some of her favorite productions include 52 Pick-up, Die, Mommie, Die!, Mauritius, and Boy Gets Girl
