This is a beginning recreation gymnastics class geared toward school age children. GYMNASTICS - INTERMEDIATE

Tiny Tots Open Gym

This program is a fun and active class that introduce the fundamentals of exercise. Jump, run and climb is the best way to get their eager energy out. Parent/ guardian involvement is required.

GYMNASTICS - TUMBLING

This class will focus on floor tumbling skills and techniques. Designed for beginning or intermediate level gymnasts or cheerleaders, tumblers will learn the basic skills to further their experience with cartwheels, handstands, round offs, back handsprings, and more. YOUTH TENNIS

Let your children learn the sport of a generation when we introduce them to the innovative United States Tennis Association standards. Progress through the colored-ball structure while learning how to hit the ball properly.

Beginners - Learn the basic strokes and court movement. Planned for youths who have never taken a single lesson or have played before, or who may have engaged in lessons but need work on controlling and improving their strokes.

Beginning—Learn basic strokes and movement. For pre-teens who have not taken lessons before, or who have but still learning how to control and improve on the strokes and movement.

Intermediate—have taken beginner lessons and have decent control of the ball. Min: 3 Max: 8, $58 per session, Ages 7 to 11

TEEN TENNIS

Let your adolescent learn the sport of a lifetime. Beginning students will learn the basic strokes, how to move on the court and how to score a game.

For those who have taken previous instruction, intermediates will continue to improve their strokes, improve footwork and play a match. Min: 3 Max: 10, $58 per session, Ages 12 to 17

Beginners - Session 1

August 12 to Sept. 30 (No class Sept. 2 & 9; Rain Date Oct. 7)

Middle School Team Tennis

Join a team that will compete within Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, and Albuquerque. Teams will be co-ed, competing in singles and doubles play. Tennis experience is preferred, though not required. Both levels of experience are encouraged to also register for teen tennis lessons.

Sign up to compete for the middle school you attend: Mountain View, Rio Middle, Eagle Ridge, Lincoln, or ASK Academy. (Teams may be combined depending on enrollment and coaching availability).

Teams will practice or play matches on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school (coaches may use a different practice date based on mutual consent). Practice sites will be at middle schools with courts or the high schools. Matches will be at Rio Rancho High School, and at other area school sites. Transportation will not be provided. Coaches will issue a schedule once teams are formed.

Season August 15 - October 22

Tuesdays & Thursdays Practice 4:00 p.m.

$50 per player will cover Team fee, t-shirts, staffing, supplies, Ages 11 to 15.

Adult Tennis

It’s never too late to learn or to get back into playing the sport of a lifetime. Instruction is a fun way of making new tennis companions or to renew connections after some time off.

Beginners - New to the game, perhaps wanting to brush up after having been absent for a time, have played but never received instruction, or yet prepared for more progressed level of guidance and play.

Intermediate - Returning to the game to advance your basic tennis skills, play short games, learning to move smoothly on the tennis courts and to meet new players. Min: 4 Max: 10, $70 per session, Ages 18 and up. Rio Rancho Sports Complex, High Resort Tennis Courts
