Meet Ramese Marcel Long, a fitness expert with over 30 years of experience. Initially pursuing a career in the music industry, Ramese eventually found himself working at a gym called Australian Body Works in Atlanta, where his interest in fitness grew. Over the years, Ramese faced numerous struggles, including anxiety, depression, food addiction, and financial difficulties. However, through fitness, he was able to overcome these obstacles and become mentally and physically healthy.

In 1992, Ramese moved to Atlanta, and needing to make money, and meet new people, he began looking for a job. “I got a job at a gym called Australian Body Works in Atlanta because I always had a strong interest in fitness and it gave me the flexibility to work and still be able to pursue my music dream.”

“As you can see, this was over 30 years ago, so this journey was filled with a tremendous amount of ups and downs, victories and losses along the way to me finding my purpose.”

“After years and years of resistance, I’ve finally accepted that I’m here to help others deal with life’s trials and tribulations by telling my story and showing others how fitness has literally saved my life and can do the same for them.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way? Not at all!

The fact that it wasn’t smooth was a major obstacle that took years for me to get over. However, the fact that I’m on the other side of those issues is a huge victory.

Ramese admits that he has literally had almost every struggle that you could imagine. Anxiety, depression, finances, food addiction gaining over 70 pound, fighting off suicidal thoughts and much more.

“The funny thing is, now that I’m mentally and physically healthy again, I wouldn’t change a thing because I’m proud of overcoming those obstacles and who I’ve become and continue to try to be.”
