“GenZing through the City”

Sean Hanford is a sophomore honor student majoring in Entrepreneurship at Kennesaw State University and is rapidly becoming a legend in his own right. Sean has had some amazing opportunities that have changed the trajectory of his young life; one being named the Rising Star award winner at the Steve Harvey Camp for Young Men in 2019, as well as becoming a graduate of the prestigious Disney Dreamers Academy. He was also awarded a full scholarship to the John Casablanca Modeling and Talent Agency where he was given a solid foundation in acting, modeling and public speaking. Sean’s solid foundation at an early age has paved the pathway for this young entrepreneur to pursue some hefty goals well beyond his years.

Although quiet and reserved, Sean is a powerhouse. He is a determined and driven GenZ who is in the passionate pursuit of his dreams. While spending time at the Steve Harvey Camp for Young Men in 2019, Sean penned over 200 dreams that he wanted to accomplish throughout his life. Currently, writing his book, based upon the biblical scripture, Habakkuk 2:2; Sean has traveled internationally with the Harvey Foundation. He is now an ambassador, camp counselor and mentor for young men. Adding to his list of talents and accomplishments, he is also a correspondent for ATL Plus Magazine segment called “GenZing in the City” where he interviews up-andcoming young adults who are influencing the GenZ Culture in Atlanta.

Notably, Sean’s greatest accomplishment is becoming a realtor at age of 19. While facing many hurdles to obtain this goal, Sean was victorious, as he is now one of the youngest realtors in the state of Georgia who has his mind set on becoming one of the top realtors in the country. Sean’s vision for his future is clear: to graduate from college with honors, become a multimillion-dollar realtor within five years, an entrepreneur with Steve Harvey Global- all while creating generational wealth for him and his family. Sean Hanford is truly a GenZ worth paying attention to!

Madox Destyn is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter/ influencer who has been in the music industry since the age of nine. She started out singing in a young pop urban girl trio called Pink Heart - which took YouTube and the internet by storm. Their songs were played on Radio Disney and Nick Music. At the age of 14, she and her bandmate ventured off to form a duo called Gabby and Madi. Their songs Foot On The Gas and Be Right Here debuted on BET Jams. Madox is now a solo artist and is working with some of the most prominent writers in the industry. Her mentors are Troy Taylor and Ray Daniels. She’s been able to learn and apply their teachings to create a new signature sound of her own. Madox writes from a spiritual oneness and looks to inspire and socialize self-love, self-respect, and self-value among her peers and followers. While focusing on her growth and solo emergence, she spends her time in the studio creating new music, writing, recording, and perfecting her new sound. Madox produces a sound that brings forth natural tones and melodic melodies. When she’s not working, she spends time with her family and friends, writing poetry and promoting brand deals. Curlanistas Lexi P

Our very own Curlanistas aka Lexi P was the brand ambassador for the grand opening of the newest Madrag Store at The Mall of Georgia. Lexi P was stylish in the fashion store’s latest looks, and she definitely passed the fit check. Lexi greeted fans, signed autographs and shared with customers her awesome story of being the CEO of her own black hair care line called Curlanistas. Lexi’s hair care line is sold in over 88 Sally Beauty Stores nationwide and she is most definitely giving BOSS girl vibes.

New Birth’s Back 2 School Shoe Giveaway

Atl Plus Magazine and your Rich Auntie Lori had the opportunity to interview some of Dekalb County’s finest leaders at the New Birth’s Back 2 School Shoe Give Away that was held at New Birth’s Bell Family Life Center in Lithonia, Georgia. Led by Pastor Jamal Bryant, Senior Pastor of New Birth and Pastor Kerri Turner, Pastor of Emerging Generations, elected officials, and a host of volunteers, New Birth’s efforts to put shoes on the feet of over 3,000 school aged children in the metro Atlanta area was a huge success!

Taliya King, was born in Louisiana, and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She describes herself as a “city girl by heart-a country girl by circumstance.” She graduated from the illustrious HBCU Winston-Salem State University, with a major in Health Care Administration. She originally started her career within healthcare, working in the hospital; within the finance sector- ultimately transitioning to work for a larger financial institute. She received my NMLS license in 15 states, worked as a mortgage loan originator and educated clients on the homebuying and refinance process for first time home buyers to real estate investors. She currently works for a major tech company in the Atlanta area in sales.

While getting the party started, Taliya grew up as a PK (Pastor kid). Taliya’s upbringing was and is still deeply rooted in “the church.” “The older I get, the more I realize that the universe, God, or whatever your faith may be, has a way of putting you on the path to your purpose regardless of which road you take. I’m currently on that path and I’m enjoying every moment. There’s that little voice in your head and heart that tells you exactly what you’re supposed to be doing! Don’t ignore it!”

For fun, she enjoys the outdoors, making cold pressed juice, traveling, and meeting new people. She often finds herself in positions where she’s able to assist others simply through a smile, or a listening ear. She’s driven by her intuition and curiosity. Having the liberty to travel the world, for a small-town girl like herself; has transformed her life and perspective. “The more I view the world around me, life takes on a new sense of freedom where the possibilities are endless!” that she brings as a correspondent is refreshing. beauty inwardly and outwardly is a breath of fresh air. Her energy is contagious and a whole vibe that eagerly awaits to assist others in any capacity. Let’s just say, she’s a corporate baddie by day and a professional party starter by night.
