Underhanded tactics are actions in a game that go undetected (usually used in a dishonest way ) Some examples of such is shooting the basketball through under the hoop; though considered as unethical completely against basketball rules

There are alot of ways to change the tide of the game. Such plays usually involve timing, critical thinking, awareness, and most importantly, psychology.

Playing with the psyche and mental thought processing of a person is one of the most powerful and efficient ways to win you more rounds by tricking them into thinking you'll be going a certain direction but then quickly changing course to catch them off guard which is called bamboozling

You can pull off bamboozling in many ways, either making it look like you're shooting but then suddenly passing or completely duke the team by pretending you still have the ball despite it already being on the other side of the court

But of course, the appliance of tricks aren't only limited to basketball; in fact, they are much more relevant in other sports such as chess (obviously), table tennis, and volleyball to name a few.

TABLE TENNIS:

Though it may not look much, table tennis actually applies deception in its games very frequently; from unhittable serves or even sending back the ball. The most amount of time it is utilized is when serving. Serving in table tennis has become a game itself, you got people coming up with the most impossible-torecieve serves which for some reason, is still legal

CHESS:

Chess is one of those games that are easy to learn but very hard to master Chess utilizes trickery most as the game's main tool is your mind; it forces you to be more aware of your surroundings, considering every single variable on your environment so that you may not have any unnecessary losses

VOLLEYBALL:

Volleyball makes great sue of deception when it comes to their game Teams can set a ball and fake a spike, which leads to the opposing team being caught off guard.

Catching players off guard is a sure-fire way to guarantee yourself a point every single round. Always switch up the things you do, keep updating and never stay in one place.
