GALT’S GULCH SCHOLARSHIP ATTENDEE FAQS ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION Who is eligible to apply? Students and young professionals worldwide, ages 21 to 35. When should I apply? Anytime, however, if you apply during our early-bird window, you will receive 50% off your registration fee. See event webpage for more information.
SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE What does the scholarship include? Complimentary lodging for three nights, most meals and refreshments throughout the conference, and travel reimbursement up to a certain amount based on your home country. How much is the travel reimbursement? $1,000 from Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, or a non-U.S. Pacific island/territory; $800 from South America, Central America, Canada, Mexico, or a U.S. Island/territory; and $550 from within the continental United States. When is reimbursement paid? After the event, based on submitted receipts. Reimbursements are typically paid 30 to 60 business days after submission and are processed in the order they are received. To qualify, you must attend and miss no more than two sessions without any violations of The Atlas Society’s Conference Code of Conduct.
TRAVEL PLANNING & REIMBURSEMENT Is travel insurance required? Yes. All reimbursement recipients must carry comprehensive travel and liability insurance. The insurance itself is a reimbursable expense (if you have not yet exceeded your reimbursement cap with other travel costs), and CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) coverage is recommended to ensure coverage if you need to cancel your trip at the last minute for any reason. Note: To purchase CFAR insurance, you usually must do so within 90 days of your departure date. I lost some travel receipts. Can I still be reimbursed? No. We require valid receipts showing actual expenses for every reimbursable item. Rideshare receipts qualify only for trips between the airport, the host hotel, and your home — rides to any other location are not reimbursable. Meals and refreshments while traveling are not reimbursable, and lodging costs are not reimbursed.
