Support is at the forefront of our philosophy. We have developed comprehensive academic and student supports, which means students have access to expert assistance throughout their university journey. With our dedicated teams always on hand to offer support, we ensure each student reaches their full potential.
We have invested heavily in our learning facilities and academic supports. State-of-the-art libraries, learning support tutors, assistive technology, maths support centres and academic writing centres offer innovative and friendly support. Our Access and Widening Participation service provides a range of supports and services to help students realise their educational potential regardless of their background or age. ATU’s dedicated professional Disability and Learning Support Service (DLSS) offers an individual support plan tailored to the specific needs of the student.
Our induction and welcome programmes make the transition to university both easy and fun, whilst our student success teams help ensure students have an enjoyable and successful time throughout their studies with ATU. Our free health service provides expert care and is made up of doctors, nurses, counsellors and well-being services. The chaplaincy team support students in their personal and spiritual growth, and our passionate careers teams will help each student find a profession and future they will love. Students also have access to a range of free technology supports.
We know that funding studies can often be a concern. That is why we provide additional financial support to hundreds of students each year. We recognise student talents in a range of areas, from academic results to sporting achievements. We also help support students who need financial assistance and ensure they have the means to succeed.
