Community Engagement
Volunteer and Donation Opportunities
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs are an integral part of today’s conference agendas. Conventions and events offer significant potential to positively impact the communities in which they are held. Service projects allow your attendees to connect more with the destination while forging new friendships with fellow attendees and deeper connections to your organization.
Legacy Collective offers a way for meeting planners, event attendees and companies to give back to nonprofits in Atlanta while gathering for conferences, conventions and events. This giving community is dedicated to funding groups addressing systemic issues with sustainable solutions.
Legacy Collective’s Atlanta City Giving Circle includes a diverse list of local nonprofit organizations that have been vetted to ensure they are all 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing with the IRS. Legacy Collective also confirms each group has a diversity and inclusion policy that does not discriminate against any legally protected class during the hiring process, employment or in client services.
During an event’s registration process, meeting planners may include an option for a specific dollar amount to be donated toward one or more of the nonprofits listed below. Alternatively, an organization can also choose to make a lump sum donation to the Atlanta City Giving Circle outside of the registration process.
Once the event registration period has closed, the meeting planner connects with Legacy Collective on the preferred donation method and chosen nonprofit beneficiary of their choosing. Legacy Collective will then issue the grants and provide the meeting planner with blog and social media posts on how the funds were used as well as impact reporting from the nonprofits.
The Atlanta City Giving Circle is a great way to make a meaningful difference when you don’t have the time to coordinate a hands-on activity.
