The City of Atlanta has various ballfields throughout the city to reserve for league play or to play a pick-up game. Below are the fees along with the complete listing of fields.
Ball field reservations are released in seasonal increments. These seasons are released on line on a first come, first serve basis at 12:00 noon on the dates listed below. During this 24 hour selection period, all ball field reservations must be made on line, and cannot be refunded or exchanged for a credit except due to rainout or a similar situation rendering the field unusable.

The City of Atlanta has pavilions and gazebos throughout its’ parks to reserve for picnics or gatherings.
A pavilion reservation/permit entitles the permit holder to exclusive use of the pavilion for the date and time indicated on the permit. Pavilions are available as is on a first come, first served basis when there is no reservation. Below is a complete listing along with Reservation rates.

Reservations can be made through our Central Reservations Office or at the Center where you wish to make a Reservation. A refundable $100 security deposit is required with each Reservation.

Our Recreation Center Wedding Package applies to the Reservation of both Auditoriums at either Adamsville or Rosel Fann. The total cost includes seven (7) hours; two (2) hours for setup, four (4) hours for the event, and one (1) hour for breakdown.
Vending Package: $750
Our Events Package applies to the Reservation of both Auditoriums at either Adamsville or Rosel Fann for events that charge admission or vend on site. The organization collecting Admission or Vending is expected to pay an additional fee equal to 20% of the Revenue collected from the event or $500, whichever is greater.
Recreation Center Reservations will require one (1) Security Officer to be hired for every seventy five (75) people in attendance if the event is for social purposes, Atlanta Parks and Recreation expects the event will be attended by persons under twenty one (21) years of age, if the event involves the serving of alcohol, or if Atlanta Parks and Recreation and the Atlanta Police Department both reasonably determine that security is required to protect the safety of persons and/ or property.

Filming in a City of Atlanta Park requires permission from The Mayor’s Office of Entertainment. Please contact the Office of Entertainment at atlfilm@atlantaga.gov or at 404-330-6006.
A permit is required for any planned park gatherings lasting one hour or more with an anticipated attendance of 75 or more people. A Large Gathering application is not necessary if you are reserving only a pavilion, gazebo or ballfield. Please be aware that a Large Gathering Permit does not grant permission to vend in a park, erect a tent greater than 10'x10', stage or moonwalk, or use alcohol. The permit fee is $50 (nonrefundable). City park users requesting a permit to utilize specific areas of park greenspace shall be required to pay a permit fee of $50.
This permit is used when an outdoor wedding occurs inside a city park, in a location other than in a picnic pavilion, and where the wedding includes set-up or requires city services outside of normal scheduled maintenance. The permit fee is $50 (nonrefundable).
This permit is necessary if you plan to have generators (additional permit and fees also required from Office of Buildings), amplified sound, tents larger than 10'x10' and/or portable restrooms at your event. The permit fee is $50 (nonrefundable).
Fees are payable by money order, certified check, personal check or major credit card. Cash is not accepted. The Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to refuse to issue any permit for an unauthorized use, and may revoke an issued permit at any time for an unauthorized use or violation of park rules, regulations, or city ordinances. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are accepted no earlier than 90 days (holidays and weekends included) prior to the event; 30 (holidays and weekends included) days if using portable toilets, amplified sound, tents and/or generators, and no later than 14 days (holidays and weekends included) prior to your event date if your event doesn’t require portable toilets, amplified sound, tents and/or generators. City park users who reserve pavilions or have large gatherings in a park that require vehicular access must use a park attendant at the rate of $10.50 per hour (minimum four hours). This will allow vehicles to unload and load only. Parking vehicles inside the park is not allowed per Atlanta City Code Sec. 110-3. Park attendants are available on a first come, first served basis based on availability and must be booked no later than 14 days in advance (holidays and weekends included). Park attendants are highly recommended at the following parks otherwise there is no vehicle access close to the pavilion: Grant Park*, Piedmont Park, Perkerson Park, Mozley Park, Maddox Park, and Tanyard Creek.
*Vehicles are prohibited from driving directly to the pavilion.
This permit is used for individuals or organizations wishing to utilize a City of Atlanta park for private business purposes. The private business may not operate in a park unless and until the application is granted and a permit is issued. A Private Business in a Park Permit does not grant permission to vend (no monies to be exchanged) in a park, erect a tent, stage, or moonwalk, or possess alcohol. No advertising/ marketing or staking of any kind is allowed in the park. A separate application must be submitted for each park that the business wishes to use. Atlanta Teen Leaders (ATL) Afterschool Programming
The ATL Program offers teens ages 13 to 18 the opportunity to become involved in their community while receiving leadership training throughout the school year. This program aims to serve at the forefront of educating, empowering, and equipping young people to set extraordinary personal goals, operate with high moral and ethical standards, and to perform with unprecedented professional excellence.

During the academic hour, children will be assisted by a certified teacher along with recreation staff to complete homework assignments, participate in daily reading, as well as web-based math tutorial programs. Afterschool staff utilize a leading academic software provider for standard-based assessment, instruction, test preparation, and e-learning math programs to track our participant’s progress throughout the after school program. In addition youth are provided various cultural enrichment experiences from experts in the fields of art, drama, music, dance, martial arts, and more.
Technology
Centers are equipped with technology to provide participants with access to computers and internet to complete research needed for homework and school projects. Students will use leading academic, standard-based assessment software programs to aid with core math and reading comprehension areas.
Recreation leaders will expose participants to a variety of physical fitness activities to engage and strengthen the body, address how to make healthy choices in nutrition, and teach them about non-traditional sports and careers in recreation to combat childhood obesity. General recreation is offered at all our centers; ranging from casual active play to organized athletics (additional fees, see athletics section). Select centers offer basic instructional swim classes. Multiple partnerships with leading agencies in the sports and fitness fields bring a variety of programs such as dance, martial arts, gymnastics, and tennis.
Centers offer community service and character building programs and activities that allow youth to become civically involved in their communities and promote understanding of good citizenship in their neighborhoods.
The Culture Club provides cultural experiences and academic enrichment for children between 5 and 12 years old that contribute to the growth and achievement of each individual. Each Culture Club participant receives a healthy light snack and homework assistance from the After School All-Stars. Local professional artists or arts organizations such as the Atlanta Music Project and Dance Canvas lead classes in performing arts, visual arts, string and wind instruments and choral instruction.

Regular swimming can improve physical health by building endurance, muscle strength and cardio-vascular fitness. It can serve as a cross-training element to regular workouts and can improve overall self-discipline, goal-setting, and create an increased sense of self-worth through regular exercise. Aquatic Centers provide residents and non-residents with an opportunity to participate in regular swimming programs, private lessons, and Drop-ins. Aerobic excercise is practiced in the shallow end of our indoor pools. Aqua aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. This package includes 12 uses for Aqua Aerobics lessons and is valid for 6 months. Please check with individual natatoriums for schedule.

Our Natatoriums have special hydrotherapy pools where the water can be used for therapeutic purposes. Developmental Swim Team
This program is an introduction to competitive swimming. Swimmers gain the basic motor skills needed to advance to the CAD Swim Team. Testing is required. While learning about the history of collage, students will create exciting mixed media works that emphasize the use of color, texture and imagery. Inspired by such masters as Matisse and Picasso, students will be taken through the collage process from painting and drawing techniques to composition and assembling, and then to completion.

Relief printmaking uses a wide variety of objects pasted onto a board. The surface
is inked. A print is taken by placing paper on top and rubbing the back or running it through a press. Explore various materials, multiple blocks, and reduction prints. Combine techniques to create exciting, rich prints. Beginners welcome. A $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
Open Studio Printmaking

Open studio is for previous Chastain Arts Center students who will work independently. Registration must be approved by the printmaking instructor. Students may work when space is available and no class is meeting. Open Studio ends 30 minutes prior to Center’s closing. Open studio begins the second week of the session.
Students may select from either wheel or handbuilding classes for all skill levels. Chastain offers the following firing options: high fire in a gas fired reduction kiln, Cone 6 and low fire oxidation, raku and experimental techniques such as Saggar and Salt firing.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Pottery and hand building students will be issued one bag of clay the first day of class. Please claim your clay during the first week of classes.
• Students are responsible for purchasing tools for ceramics.
• Only clay purchased through the center and glazes provided by the center will be fired.

Learn to work with clay both on and off the pottery wheel. We will explore handbuilding techniques along with the fundamentals of using the pottery wheel. Basic glazing and surface treatments will
be taught as well. Leave with a strong foundation in the use clay as well as some beautiful art work of your own!
POTTERY ON THE WHEEL
Students will examine an array of wheelthrown pottery techniques. The focus is on basic throwing skills as well as glazing, decorating, and firing. Bring pottery tools to use in class. A basic pottery tool set can be purchased at most art supply stores.

Introduce students to the art of figure sculpting through a variety of forms. Yoga for the Artist

Offers Hatha Yoga to help students become more balanced. This class will be gentle and basic, facilitating students in releasing tension in the neck, shoulders, upper back, lower back, wrists and hands. Students are not required to have previous yoga experience or to be flexible in order to participate in this class. Students are asked to bring a yoga blanket, straps, and blocks to class.

All classes require sufficient enrollment to convene. Atlanta Parks and Rec reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or combine classes, to change instructors, fees and/or classroom assignments when necessary. Students will be notified by the e-mail or phone number provided at the time of registration. Full refunds will be issued for cancelled classes.
To withdraw from an Activity or Program:
Students must notify the Community Facility Manager in writing (preferably by e-mail) at least 3 business days before the first class meeting in order to receive a refund.
To withdraw from a Membership:
Membership holders must notify the Community Facility Manager in writing (preferably by e-mail) within 30 days of purchase in order to receive a refund. Refunds may be subject to proration.
To cancel a Reservation:
All cancellations must be made in writing (preferably by e-mail) to the Reservations Office or Community Facility Manager where the reservation was made no less than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event in order to receive a refund. Changes to a reservation are allowed as long as they are made no less than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather.
NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS WILL BE MADE AFTER THE TIMEFRAMES LISTED ABOVE.
Atlanta Parks and Rec is not responsible for classes missed due to student absence. Please discuss any unavoidable absence with your Community Facility Manager. If a refund is granted and the original form of payment was by check or money order, the refund may take 4-6 weeks to be issued. Refunds will be sent to the address on record or credited to the credit card used in the initial transaction. Any online convenience fee incurred is nonrefundable.
