Draven Bass, a 2016 graduate of Circleville High School, was a standout in track & field and soccer.
In track, he was a 4-year varsity letter winner and is the owner of five school records in the 100m, 400m, long jump, 300m hurdles, and 4x200m relay. He was named team MVP in 2014, 2015, and 2016 and led the team to back-to-back Mid-State League (MSL) and Southeast District titles. Draven earned First Team All-MSL honors seven times, winning three events in 2015 and four events in 2016, along with district championships in the long jump both years. He holds MSL records in the long jump and 300m hurdles and the Southeast District long jump record. He was a regional qualifier each year from 2014 to 2016, advancing to the outdoor state championships a total of four times in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, he won Indoor State Championships in the long jump and triple jump and earned Academic All-Ohio honors in 2015. As a senior, he was selected to represent Team Ohio in the Midwest Meet of Champions.
In soccer, Draven was a 4-year varsity letter winner, earning First Team All-MSL and Second Team All-Southeast District honors in 2014. In 2015, he received Second Team honors in both categories. He was a key contributor to the 2015 team, which set school records for most wins, fewest losses, most shutouts, most goals scored, and fewest goals allowed in a season. His consistent performances in both sports demonstrated his versatility and commitment to his teams.
After high school, Draven competed at Ohio Dominican University, where he set records in the 4x400m relay and 400m hurdles. He earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference titles in the 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, and 400m hurdles in 2018.
Draven’s accomplishments and leadership have solidified his legacy and earned him a place in the Circleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Michael Camp, a 2016 graduate of Circleville High School, excelled as a multi-sport athlete, participating in football, basketball, and baseball.
In football, Michael earned numerous accolades, including First Team All Mid-State League, First Team All Southeast District, and Second Team All-Ohio in 2015, followed by Third Team All-Ohio, First Team All Mid-State League, and First Team All District in 2016. His outstanding performance on the field led to several school records, including most passing yards in a season (2,256), most passing yards in a game (451), most touchdown passes in a season (29), most touchdown passes in a game (7), most touchdown passes in a career (53), best passing percentage in a season (63%), and most passing yards in a career (4,213). These achievements made Michael one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of Circleville High School football.
In basketball, Michael’s achievements included earning First Team All Southeast District, First Team District 14, First Team All Mid-State League, Division II Special Mention All-State, and the Pickaway County Bob Bowser Award in 2015. He also earned Second Team All Mid-State League and Honorable Mention District 14 in 2014. His basketball skills were marked by his versatility, vision on the court, and ability to contribute in critical moments.
Beyond his individual accolades, Michael’s leadership and commitment were integral to the success of his teams, both on and off the field. His work ethic, sportsmanship, and dedication to his teammates solidified his legacy in the Circleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Sarah Moats graduated from Circleville High School in 2019. She excelled as a multi-sport athlete, competing in soccer and softball, and received numerous accolades for her achievements.
In softball, Sarah earned Honorable Mention All-Southeast District in 2016. In 2017, she was named 1st Team All-Mid-State League and 1st Team All-Southeast District. In 2018, she earned 1st Team All-Mid-State League, 1st Team All-Southeast District, and 2nd Team All-State. In her senior year in 2019, she was again named 1st Team All-Mid-State League, 1st Team All-Southeast District, and 2nd Team All-State. Over her high school career, she established school records for season stolen bases (31), career stolen bases (90), career runs (135), season doubles (15), season triples (7), and season home runs (6), highlighting her impact on the field.
In soccer, Sarah earned Honorable Mention All-Mid-State League and 2nd Team All-Southeast District in 2015. In 2016, she was recognized as 2nd Team All-Southeast District. In 2017, she earned 2nd Team All-Mid-State League and 2nd Team All-Southeast District. In her final high school season in 2018, she was 2nd Team All-Mid-State League and 1st Team All-Southeast District, showcasing her consistent performance and dedication to the sport.
After high school, Sarah continued her softball career at Walsh University, competing in the NCAA Division II GMAC Conference. During her collegiate career, she achieved 1st Team All-GMAC honors and was named an NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete in 2023. In 2024, she earned 2nd Team All-GMAC honors. Sarah was a five-year starter for Walsh’s softball team, demonstrating her commitment and skill at the collegiate level.
The accomplishments of Sarah Moats in both high school and college have solidified her legacy as an exceptional athlete. Her dedication and success earned her a well-deserved place in the Circleville High School Hall of Fame.
