The County Basketball Classic, featuring Circleville High School, Logan Elm High School, Westfall High School, andTeays Valley High School, has been named the "Brad Morris Holiday Classic" to honor the remarkable legacy of Brad Morris.ALogan Elm graduate (Class of 2002) and passionate sports journalist, Brad dedicated over two decades to highlighting the achievements of Pickaway County's student-athletes. His unwavering commitment to local sports, exemplified through his work with *The Circleville Herald* and co-founding the *Sporting Pumpkin* website, inspired generations and elevated the community’s appreciation for high school athletics.

Brad’s heartfelt storytelling and advocacy for youth extended far beyond game coverage—he celebrated the triumphs, hard work, and dreams of every athlete he encountered. His dedication was recognized in 2019 when he earned theAssociated PressAward for Best Sports Writer.

The "Brad Morris Holiday Classic" serves as a tribute to Brad’s enduring passion for Pickaway County sports, his commitment to building community through journalism, and his profound belief in the potential of local youth.
