If you like the style of odd futures music, you’ll like brockhampton. Why? They are a collective of all male rappers, producers, ect. Each member contributes their own style in their verses, but all complent eachother.

Newly friends with Tyler, Asap Rocky and him put out a song together called Potato Salad. Asap Rocky is a rap/hip-hop artist and is a member of another rap collective called A$ap Mob.

Frank Ocean is a R&B hip-hop singer. Hes a member of Odd Future and has fetured on a few songs with tyler like She and Biking. His voice is ethereal and image origional in his own albums like Orange and Blonde

Earl kicked off his career while in odd future, which he was invited into by tyler. Even with his family not supporting him through his dreams earl developed his own origional sound and became sucessful.

Hello, my name is Morgan Page and I was so excited when Athena asked me to right an article for her zine. I currently live in Seattle, Washington. I have a passion for writing, softball, and of course music especially Tyler the Creators music. Tyler is my favroite artist so I’ve attened many of his concerts. In total 4 but I am planning to go to future ones once covid allows it . Going to a Tyler concert is really the best experiance, better then other concerts I’ve been to. Tyler fans are always so into the music, the vibe of the whole concert is perfect everyone is happy, energized, and of course singing every lyric. About a year back I attened Tylers concert for the IGOR album, he came out in the iconic monochromatic suit and blonde wig. He danced a lot and used colored lights to really get the crowd going. The next chance I get I plan to attend Tylers carnival, Camp Flog Naw. Its a typical carnival but also a music festival where he has his favroite artisits perform as well as himself. I watched his last years performance live from my room and it was his best performance yet! He changed the style of some of his songs to suprise the crowd. Tylers first album which is self- produced. Bastard is alternative and creative, its released it 2009 when he was 18 years old. It has a few songs worked on and relased by OF on it. An alternative rap album, Tyler raps about controversy, he creates diffrent characters which we get to analyze. Although many songs are violent they are well thought out and produced.

2017 - 2019 2018

Flower Boy Tyler was already very popular this album really made the mainstream media his fans and he gained lots of popularitiy. Flower Boy has lots of famous features like frank Ocean, and lil Wayne, ect. An EP that Tyler produced and released for the new Grinch movie, a few songs were fetured in the movie which did very well

in college for about a semester. He got minimum wage jobs Lorem ikkkkpsum at starbucks and finally Fedex. Theres no long history about why tyler calls himself Tyler the Creator. He got his stage name from a myspace stage he created. Tyler although its not official he also goes by many other names like T, Bucket Hat T, Wolf Haley, Gap Tooth T, ect. In his free time Tyler would spend time with his frends and skate around skate parks. At the time he didnt know it but his friends would be his creative outlet and biggest supporters. Tyler and some of his friends bannded together and created Odd Future. Now Odd future is a collective of musical artists, producers, fasion designers, ect. Tyler actually created Odd Futures famous doughnut logo which is also the logo they use on their clothing brand. Yes, you heard it Odd Future is also a clothing brand and they opened a store on Fairfax Ave in LA which an infamous street for its shopping. The store was closed but not long after did Tyler open up his own store, Golf. Tyler created his own clothing brand and produiced many of his clothing designs. Golfs famous logo is the Golf Flower. Odd Future consists Tyler and his friends, Hodgy beats, Left Brain, Casey Veggies, Jasper, Taco, Earl Sweatshirt, Mike G, ect. Most of these men are now decleared solo rappers all with their own very iconic diffrent styles. Styles this is why Odd Future took the world by storm, each artist has his own original style but each artist complements eachothers styler perfectly. In The OF Tape Vol. 2 everyone in future rapped in the track Oldie. This song is ten minutues long but is the best example of how these artiusits all came together as a collective and created something beautiful. As Odd Future was thriving Tyler and a few members aired a show on Adlut Swim called Loiter Squad. This show was perfect at the time, it

featured Tyler, Japer, Taco, And Lionel, where they performed skits on the show. These skits consisted of written well thought out skits, some mocked other shows that were popular at the time. They also went out on the streets of LA and pranked people. Loiter

Squad consisted of 4 seasons. After having lots of sucess with Odd Future Tyler really workd on his own personal career releasing many albums and become a name known around the world. In the release of his second album Goblin Tyler went on a world tour. He went to the New Zealand, where one of his concerts got quite wild and he was banned from entering New Zealand for the new Two years. The prime Minister made a statment saying Tylersd music and presents was violent and incited violance. Tyler couldnt do much about the ban but he said he felt like he was just being banned becasue he was a black man who experessed what he wanted to. Although Tyler has met dark extreames he has has so many ground breaking high hoghs in his career. Hes appeared on many talk shows and his newer music has been spoken about very highly. People think he has a special talent that is changing the sound of music. In 2013 Tyler was nominated for a the Album of Year Grammy because of his feture of Channel Orange a Album released by Frank Ocean. In 2018 he was nominated for a grammy for best rap album for Flower Boy. In 2020 all his hard work was worth it and he his dream of winning a grammy. He won best rap album foer IGOR, not ony did he win but he performeda set CAMP at the Grammys that some say was his best wildest performance to date.
