A CLOCK DOES NOT MEASURE TIME, ONLY IT MEASURES ITSELF // UN RELOJ NO MIDE EL TIEMO, SOLO SE MIDE A SÍ MISMO This is an open project that assumes the clock as an object and experiments with the idea of time alteration. This project started from listening a dialogue from the movie Man from Earth, which stated: “The clocks does not measure time, no, they only measure themselves, and the objective referral of a clock is always another clock”.

Being so, and associating it with other texts that wrote about the time paradox, it is developed a series of exercises that subvert the concept of time through interventions over the device and its mechanism. Games between pairs, mirrors, camera obscura, and mathematical formulas.

Este es un proyecto abierto que asume el reloj como objeto y experimenta con la alteración de la idea del tiempo. El proyecto nace de escuchar un diálogo en la película Man from earth, “Los relojes no miden el tiempo, no, sólo se miden a sí mismos, y el referente objetivo de un reloj es siempre otro reloj”.

Así, asociándolo con otros escritos que hablan sobre la paradoja del tiempo, se desarrolla una serie de ejercicios que subvierten el concepto del tiempo a partir de intervenciones sobre el aparato y su mecanismo. Relojes en parejas, espejos, cámaras oscuras y fórmulas matemáticas.
